Being able to hop the back wheel or being able to move your bike's wheels at will is without doubt an incredibly useful skill. Most people focus on doing this with the front wheel, but being able to do it with both wheels is even more useful, especially for more technical riding situations.
On top of that, this isn't an exercise in strength but skill and timing too, meaning that if you're in a tricky situation it can still be super useful.

Your dad’s proximity to that mud puddle caused a distracting amount of stress for me! Haha, I’m not even riding and I have object fixation. Great tip as always

My bike moves forward when I do the same thing. My front wheel will be locked up and push forward. What am I doing wrong?
@CyberGasty
@CyberGasty 2 года назад
For the short at legs, you are already quite a bit off the seat, since you do not have your bum but thigh on the seat. How to create the space for upward movement for rear wheel?
@BrakeMagazine
@BrakeMagazine 2 года назад
I don't know. This was the first time I ever taught this. Please not that my hike has a tall sear so that makes the gap smaller than it would be. I would imagine you you'd do a little hop at the same time to create the space.

Use the throttle, let the clutch out but keep the front brake on? The front brake was never mentioned, otherwise you will go forward. You don’t want the front wheel moving.
