The first key factor of learning the shuvit and pop shuvit is making sure you have your weight on your back foot. The shuvit is mainly done by slightly pushing down on the back foot on the back pocket of the skateboards tail and scooping backwards behind your body making the board go clock wise if you're a regular skateboarder. The front foot mainly lifts up and gets out of the way and you want to catch the skateboard when it comes back around with your front foot. You may think you need to use the front foot to make the skateboard do the pop shuvit rotation but in fact your back foot is the main power to make the skateboard do the pop shuvit rotation. If we are talking about pop shuvits over shuvits, your front foot is used more to pop the skateboard to make it go higher creating the pop shuvit. The shuvit the front foot pretty mush does nothing besided catching the skateboard to land it. Oh yeah always land on the bolts of the skateboard and bend your knees with a nice wide landing stance.
