Hi Mihajo, im all too familiar with spit roasting , like anything in life we all have our own ways/ (variations) of doing things , , i know from the (cooked !) pig roasts in the past that theres nothing you can teach your Dad when it comes to spitroasting ....(lambs are more forgiving then pigs for those that dont know , pigs you have to cook the interior just right and also to make a great crackling ) anyone that thinks different in my opinion is wrong and they probably own a meat thermometer , and probably your Dad will smile politely at the idea of buying one of those tools when all he ever used his whole life was his eyes and hand , i say all of this because sooner or later the comments will start and the trolls , im more interested at the quality of the lamb WOW!!! he must have a Butcher that knows him personally to end up with a lamb of that quality , once again thank you for sharing always great to see good family times , stay well ! time to go chase some of those stud bream with the salted bonnies i think .
Hi Lenny, Lambs are a lot more forgiving than Pork but what’s important is the weight and size. A 15kg lamb will take roughly 4 hours to cook but a pig will take close to 5. I enjoy these times with my dad, that’s why I recorded it because there will be a time I’ll constantly watch this as a lovely memory and one day show this to my children. Family time means a lot to me, money and all the rest doesn’t occupy my mind. I’m glad you enjoy these types of videos and I know for sure many who watch it will too. Cooking is something I enjoy just as much as fishing, I’m great full to my father who’s taught me so much about BBQ.
