Hello my sisters! Today I am answering the popular question, “how can I be feminine if I have a big personality?” I hadn’t really considered this at all until I noticed the question pop up over and over! I hope this is helpful, but most of all, remember that you can grow into your femininity no matter how you’re created! Enjoy!

Hey Mrs. Midwest I am a fifteen year old who is subscribed to your videos and I enjoy them a lot. Can you make a video of how to control yourself when in a heated dispute/confrontation? At my school, a lot of those happen and I would like to know how to properly express myself without interrupting others, losing my temper and raising my voice.

My first tip would be to keep things as private as possible. Wheather you're in the right or wrong, you don't want to be the topic of gossip in school. It's not classy to have a reputation of always being "catty/ trashy" bc you fight all the time.

Hannah Pocock Sometimes you don’t need to react right away. Take time to process. If someone is directly confronting you, I would calmly say..”I love your passion and I want to take time to give you a well deserved response. I take longer to process.” Sometimes I take a few days to respond to someone. If it’s a group or random conversation, maybe be more agreeable or passive. I believe we should pick our battles and I avoid confrontation when I can. Remember there is a difference between having a healthy debate and interacting with someone who is just being aggressive. Learn to pay attention to these different types of people and only engage in healthy interactions. If you start practicing healthy communication and actively pursue people who communicate healthy as well, you will grow into a lovely woman. Good luck !

It boils down to being very much self-aware, *knowing how to switch on and off the feminine charm.* Like being in your feminine essence with your man, which requires him being masculine, and still being boss at what you do.
@Saatkraehen
@Saatkraehen 5 лет назад
Why do you think that your masculinity (or a woman's feminity) is based on your partner? You can have no partner and still be a masculine man/ a feminine woman. You can have a feminine partner and still be feminine yourself. You can have a masculine partner and still be masculine. What about quiet, thoughtful men who are sweet and caring? Are they not masculine if they are with a bold woman? Or, the opposite: Are sweet and quiet (generally feminine) women suddenly not feminine anymore if they are with a sweet and gentle man? One really doesn't have much to do with the other!

Great topic Cait! I notice that because I am more introverted I tend to seek friends with bigger personalities however it’s the ones that have had an unhealthy, manipulative and domineering one that I stay clear of. Your husband is so masculine with his black coffee ☕️ 😂 I hope you have a lovely day🌹
@racheljane_
@racheljane_ 5 лет назад
I am very much the same way. I am more introverted, as well as reserved, and when I look back at my friendship history through my life, I tended to both look for and naturally attract more dominant personalities who liked to be in charge, and those relationships have largely been unhealthy and manipulative, like you mentioned. As a result, now in my late 20s I still very much have to work on building community around me, as I am almost calculating to a fault with who I allow myself to become friends with. Unfortunately, other women have hurt me a lot in the past, and it had me put myself into that cliché, “I get along better with men, women are too catty” mentality. Because of this, now as a late 20’s, married woman, I can easily allow myself to become isolated. It can be difficult to branch out and develop communities of healthy, feminine women around you! I have found myself gravitating towards women who are much older than me that I feel are more stable, secure, and maybe even more traditional.
@TheLadyoftheHouse
@TheLadyoftheHouse 5 лет назад
Rachel Jane this is something I have struggled with myself as well, it feels as if you took the words out of my mouth, even to seeking older women as friends. They are so wise and thoughtful! The friends I have the most meaningful conversations with that are of my peers however are definitely more introverted. These I love to go to coffee shops and spa days or do something creative with. I loved hearing your perspective, this may be something I’ll share in a video soon🌹

I am a working mother of five children. Unfortunately in my country i don;t have the opportunity to be a stay at home mom. Still i think i have raised beautiful,godly children. What concerns me about being a homemaker is the fact that i know a few ladies who have devoted their life to their husband and raising children,and then been tossed aside for a younger woman. It pains me to see these ladies now struggling to find a job and have no pension. Yet i mean no disrespect for your choice of lifestyle.

A lot of women will start nagging the man. Pretty soon darned if he does or not. He feels he can’t win. Then he starts finding other women. So I bet it’s a little more involved because of them staying home. If you make your man happy then you’ll get that in return.

Hey there, thank you for this video! Would you consider yourself to have a big personality since you have identified as an ENFP in the past? As ENFPs it is weird because we are the most introverted extroverts so we go back and forth from being quiet/introverted to having a more big personality. Do you notice this pattern in yourself as well?

Free Spirited Dreams Oh my goodness! I am an ENFP as well and just noticed this in myself thanks to your input. My family and bf just had a conversation about this with me today. I have so much masculine and feminine that work inside of me and usually when it comes to correction or safety I bring out the masculine (without realizing it at times). I do strive for excellence and projects as you’ve said so just taking the edge off and using my skills in the name of nurturing will definitely help. Also the tip on being vibrant instead of dominating (which is my nature) is super helpful. I will need to keep reminding myself of this. This was such a great video. Thank you!

I feel like I am super intimidated by new people so whether my personality is big or small my personally hardly shows through with my anxiety. I feel like my perspective is one of few if not any from scrolling through the comments. I’ll be completely honest. I don’t share a lot of the same views with you, probably because I’ve lived in Seattle my whole life where women are always encouraged to express themselves and be exactly who they are, regardless of how women are “supposed” to act. I don’t think women should be expected to be “gentle”, “timid”, “non-confrontational”, etc. because that has been the norm for far too long. Women are constantly being told to be quiet and not speak their mind and I think that your standards of what is “feminine” and how a woman should act perpetuate the idea that women should stay in their place and not have a voice.

Thank you so much, I have quite a big personnality (so much so that I often say that I take a lot of place, psychologically wise) and I was searching a way to behave better as I become more and more adult. Now I see how I can improve myself. Again, thank you ! 👍

Can you do a video about introverts? I am an introvert but sometimes I want to express myself and be confident. Btw I’m inspired because some people can take things to the extreme. We should have moderation as a Christian or not a Christian.

I'm a big woman and even if I am loving to others or just talking in a normal tone, people often get intimidated by me and just assume I am rude 😔 It is so depressing. All my boyfriends left me for small and cute girls 😞😢

I studied philosophy in school, and learned many theological arguments, with readings from the Quran, Talmud, and Bible. I was raised without any church. And have not found any religion or spiritualism for me. Many of the justifications based on god or gender seemed platitudinous and simplistic. And many of the qualities you list as feminine are not unique to women.
