Also, if you don't want to speak french with them because you're not fluent enough, you can say "Mon français n'est pas bon, vous parlez anglais?" which means "My french is not good, [can] you speak English?"
One doen't excuse oneself so grammatically uncorrect to say je m'excuse. You have to be aware that before using it as a slang/casual sentence. Yes, it is commonly used but grammatically wrong.

I am learning French and i am having a challenge with listening because every word sounds the same in my ears. I interpret quite well so writing and reading seem to be improving but reading and speaking. I will appreciate tips.
Same for me, i listen to french music while reading the lyrics so that the tone gets more and more familiar with me. I also use Apps like Tandem and have phone calls with people

I'm not a native speaker, just teaching myself. On - We ( more Casual than Nous) ne _____ pas (object/verb inside = don't ____ or don't. For example regarder *To watch Je (I) ne regarde pas (don't watch) *conjugation of present tense "er" makes it the "r" disappear, or an "e" appear depending on how you view it.) Télévision Je ne regarde pas télévision mais *but
@@neno3123 you can use "on" also different. I think there is no same word in English but you can use it also like "you can say that" when you want to say something more generally. I'm also not native, but this is how I learned it and in this comment, this is the version that makes more sense
@@pearlflash4795 Ty this made me want to pick French up again, my other French learning family members bullied my prounouncation + other things and made me loose passion for it.
