I don’t think he’s ever going to release these songs he teased. I know there was this one and the Metallica one. Can’t remember if there were more. It’s been too long, they’re not getting released at this point.
My daughters grew up in the Emo-era - I took them to at least a dozen MCR shows - so I've seen them at least that many times - and they just went to the NJ & Miami shows now that the band got back together - spot-on Steve!! I have to say that they put on a great live performance back in the day - the first time we saw them they opened for Green Day during their American Idiot tour
"Look guys, making fun of depression is my way of dealing it with mine" - Stevie T, 2022. What a strong statement from the legend himself. Be strong my brother, we are all with you👊👊👊👊
Haha the previous comment looked like something Steve T would ironically post but it's actually a spam bot and that's the irony. Stevie T, inspiring spam bots everywhere
@@danieljennings6144 Whoops. There used to be a comment right under the OP, right before me, that was obviously a spammy bot kind of comment but had Stevie T's picture. It must have gotten deleted or reported, so now it looks like I was calling the OP a bot, which is pretty funny, but very not true. Rock on man!!
They’ve been mocked a lot for their look and their teenage girl fanbase. But yes, their solos are reminiscent of Brian May, and their riffs are so catchy. Plus, you can see their songwriting is excellent, they structure their tracks so well with arpeggio intros, clean vocals/scream chorus, yes, it's a f great band
They definitely spoke about Queen being a huge influence for Black Parade. And if you haven’t seen it, Brian May played with them when they headlined Reading and he said later he thinks they’re amazing, and said Gerard reminded him a lot of Freddie.
Yes! I am so glad you did this video… you did an great impression of MCR! And I totally get it some people cope in different ways and ones of those is humor. I love how you added SpongeBob at the end! Happy Saturday! Can’t wait to see more of these videos 😊
Thanks Sarah!! I love coping with things through humour. It makes me feel super un-emo!! 😁 Maybe the Spongebob vocals reference is hinting at a Blink 182 video?? 😉
My emo days concluded with me and my girlfriend walking around our high school belting out MCR songs scaring the living Jesus out of everyone. Imagine that someone actually had a mohawk with flicky-bangs. Yup, that was me.
That acoustic with the effects is absolutely amazing. 🤩😱 Yes I’m actually old. 50. Stevie, young’n, just discovered your channel & been binge watching. Fantastic.
@@Failchesters ehh, maybe compared to honestly a lot of emo stuff, still don’t like it more than mcr tho, way too much of an mcr fan but I’ll admit that.
@@Failchesters oh yeah, I didn’t realize that, definitely right for most bands, if you’re at all into this stuff one of the newer bands I did find is incredible
Aw the emo days...haha I love your "how to be..." videos, they are so funny...except of this one...this one was so depressing (emo hair bang flick)! Now I can't wait to see the music video, SO depressed about it!! Also, I didn't know Hot sis was a lvl 100 emo... that was a great surprise! haha Thanks for the depressing memories Steve (emo hair bang flick) 🖤
Thanks Redox!! Yeah, I've been motivated to do more 'How To' videos after my Slipknot one had such a positive outcome. Haha! Thanks for the depressing compliment! 😁
I'm too old to have been swept in the emo wave but the fashion did seep into my own punk look at little tiny bit, I must admit. (Don't tell anyone!) Looking forward depressingly to the video (and the Metallica one too!).
Well, I was laughing a lot through the video,, like always with all your videos , the minute the girlfriend shows up I just burst out laughing, even if I'm eating dinner and I'm chewing food , I don't know WHAT it is , but that's got to be the funniest character I've seen on the Internet , is that girlfriend !!!😂😂😂 you play that perfect and it is hilarious and you're hilarious to Stevie , ( but she IS you) millions of people know that❤❤😂❤❤😂
Oh boi, you’re bringing back memories, Stevie 😂 I was literally that emo/goth person in my teens who had the jet black hair, snow white make-up and who generally looked like an added extra in the Helena music video! Those were the BEST DAYS though (and still got those flicky bangs! 😉) Love that you’ve welcomed us back to the black parade, Steve. Your vid is as on-point as an emo’s eye make-up, and made me laugh the whole way through! 🤣 Can’t WAIT to see the see the music video in all its undead, blood-stained and hopeless glory 😁
Not gonna lie. I LOVE that look!! It would be pretty dated now. But those were certainly good times. Haha! Still not 100% sure what to do with the music video, but it will be emo as balls!!!! 😉
You’re not alone and you can beat it. I suffered from depression for about 10 years but I’ve gotten myself to a place where I don’t feel depressed anymore. It took me a long time to finally talk to a doctor and get on medication but it helped. I no longer need medication and I am very happy most days. Best of luck to you and don’t give up!
Me too, man. Best of luck to you, I mean it. Depression sucks and I hate the fact so many people have to go through it. Seriously, I wish the best of luck to you.
@@SlimPlum691 I've been suffering from Depression for like 1.5 years and it's awful. I thought that Depression couldn't be healed, not even with medication. Thanks to your comment I now know I was wrong. Thanks for giving me a spark of hope!
Everytime I hear the "how to be like" series, I know it's gonna be good. Really brings me back... I'm not sure if it's just musicians who can tell, but the level of talent and ability to tap directly into a genre or band style like this is in incredible. Can't wait to see the music video!!!
The anticipation is killing me. Side note, kinda feel like he knows he's unironically good at this style of singing so he purposely messes it up with a joke.
bruh idk how else to say this, but... i'm NOT watching your new videos until you release your MCR and Metallica videos!!!!!! or at LEAST an explanation... wtf??????
Three CHEERS for sweet revenge is a masterpiece. More people would say they liked black parade and its fantastic. But it definitely had a more produced mainstream pop punk feel. While polished, three cheese (might as well) still had such raw emotion. Super underrated musicians
Am I crazy or did he forget to put out two musicvideos? Edit: Hey, 2024 here. Still looking for those sweet music videos! Any news on that front STEVE?
Hey quit making fun of the clothes I bought you. Hahahahaha. Watching you dress up and putting on the makeup, reminded me of a video you did 7 years ago. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XEdEts9F_NI.html Although it is not the same genre the attire is the same. We had a blast doing that video. Can't wait to hear the song when you are done.
@@SteveTerreberry I was about to ask if that was the same wig 🤣Then I forgot to mention it in my comment.. Thanks Mama T for mentioning that video, one of my favorites too! 😁
Stevie can be depressed, acting not depressed for camera, playing a depressed guy and making jokes about depression while being depressed, and still write a better song for a joke then I can when being serious.
Yay, a How to be ... again! I'm not depressed.😊 That was the most cheerful emo video I've ever seen. 😎 Loved it. And loved the transformation of hot sis.😂 Thanks, Steve, have a great weekend. 🥰
@@SteveTerreberry hey Steve, remember to have an emphasis on the g-note in your build up because every time a g-note is played an emo sheds a tear. 😢 think 'Welcome to the Black Parade's beginning notes. Awesome video btw. Can't wait to see the full song.
Hi, Steve! I remember the emo days, this video made me feel like I was living in the 2000s again! 😂 One of my relatives used to be big time emo, grew his hair long, dyed it black, painted his nails black, wore black clothing, the whole kit and caboodle! 😂 Hilarious portrayal and the music sounds great so far! Hot Sis looks good in emo! 😂 Can’t wait for the music video! Have a great weekend! 😃
Sounds like your relative may have been goth? Although, there is a thin line between goth and emo. The only real difference is, emo has more colour. Haha! 😆
Stevie t was a depression thing and all other stuff sometimes you said were a joke or serious make sure not take it serious in a harsh way or bad also no stereotype
At the 2:07 mark, when you said “we are not dead, we are dead on the inside,” you should have said “we are not dead, we only dress that way.” It would have been a reference to their Conventional Weapons song ‘Boy Division’ 😂
Hell no. They are about 20 years too young to be Karen. From personal experience, as mother of emo..they are floral dress wearing accountants….and still depressed.
the difference between Stevie T videos on "how to make an song in the style of a artist" and other videos of the genre it's that despite the humour, he really knows what makes every artist he imitates good also, the We Will Rock You joke actually suits MCR because they have an huge inspiration on Queen and even played with Brian May once, speaking of them, we need a Queen cover one day, in preference one that goes like the Hard rock songs of them 👀
Stevie I suffer from addiction, depression, anxiety, and P.T.S.D. Thankfully I am in recovery and currently am 71 days clean from drugs! You have always made me laugh ever since I joined the 2mill sub club! Thank you for all you do in putting a smile on a VERY screwed up man! Oh and BTW you are a great songwriter and I think you should put out a album of all the great songs you have made on your amazing channel. I know I know I'm showing my age by calling it a album. I'm 50 years old and finally starting to enjoy my life again after a very very long time, and I have to give you a small bit of credit for helping me in my journey! Thanks again! Love Ya
I relapsed and I'm watching Stevie's videos he is awesome he made me feel better and reading your comment Is uplifting. I'm sorry I broke down but in away I'm happy because masses of people feel like me.
@@caseypike3956 Hey Casey, I'm very humbled, and happy that my words could uplift you or help you in any way! As far as your relapse whatever you do don't beat yourself up! I've been using hard drugs since I was 12 I've been fighting this demon for 38 years, and didn't even try to stop till 2017. So for 5 years I've been getting clean and relapsing. I've lived through hell. When I was 15 my Dad was shot and killed, when I was 21 my little brother was stabbed and killed, when I was 23 my 14 month old daughter passed away in my arms in the hospital. Then 2 years ago I think I finally got it all together, going to therapy taking meds to help and thought I was finally clean. Then on November 8th 2020 I go down to my basement and find my 27 year old son overdosed and passed away. He had been gone for 24 hours. So I went right back to what I knew would make me numb. Fast forward a year on November 30 2021, a year ago tomorrow actually my Mom has a massive stroke and passed away right in front of me in the living room. Now Mom always had her shit together and I am a only child so I got a big beautiful house and 40 thousand dollars cash. I was spending 500 to 700 dollars a day on fentanyl and crack! Plus living like a king. Well that shit was gone in 3 months and I was right back to being dopesick and hustling for cash. About 100 days ago I decided to kill myself. I tried to hang myself and somehow 911 was called, don't ask me how. I ended up in a mental health facility that also deals with addiction. I relapsed twice when I got out and have been clean 94 days now. The only thing that's for sure in recovery is relapse! Don't ever give up on yourself you are worth a good, happy life! Take care of yourself brother!!!
Bro you help others with their depression and my hope is that when you do these videos you can start to heal yourself as well. I love it when you make these videos because it shows us all that even when our world is covered in darkness we embrace it and use it against it's self. Thank you for being you and staying true to yourself and your fans. I truly hope that the healing process begins for you. It's because of people like you my depression has subsided and I can laugh again. Much love from the state of Kansas.
I love MCR. I've trying to be emo for a couple months now since I'm a girl i normally get told i look like the dead girl from Helena by MCR 😂 but i don't mind that(I have a dress similar to hers) and i don't like skinny jeans or any kind of jeans so that's a problem😂 so i just wear black leggings and i don't have much emo type of clothing i mostly have bright colors like pinks, blues, etc. But anyway thanks Stevie T for inspiring me and making me aware of a whole new style of clothing and music and also modern day emo rappers don't say your emo when you don't even look emo
As an Elder Emo...I approve of this video! This definitely spoke to my heart. I still have my mom ask me when I'm going to start dressing like an adult 🙃 I'm 37 mom...IT'S NOT A PHASE! It's who I am 🤣 I will die in my black skinny jeans! The depression I felt was definitely a 10/10. Good to see Hot Sister rocking out. Can't wait to see the video! I know it will be a super fun, depressing time 🖤🖤🖤 😊
I'm with you Jackie!! I'm only a couple years behind you. I too will die in my skinny jeans!! I'm just happy they make 'mens' skinny jeans now. I remember back in the 00's, I had to wear girls jeans. 😬
Jackie Emo is not about depression it’s false stereotype also can Emo fashion also wear khaki pants shorts and other clothes skinny ones not just skinny jeans but they are cool and skinny jeans that are comfy nothing too tight and no health issues and also just helping and give advice
