what about a movie series called: "First Destination" and a suicidal teenager tries to kill himself but life keeps on saving him

Fun Fact: The very first time I watched Final Destination was on an in-flight movie system with my best friend (she picked the movie not me)...so you can guess who was very paranoid the rest of the flight.

I feel like saying there is a bomb on the plane and then it blowing up would land you in jail for a long time.

The most chilling part of this movie was the sign at the end. It said 180 and that's the flight number the kids were suppose to originally die on

I find it hilarious with how unstealthy death got towards the end. It's like it was throwing a major temper tantrum, thus is why it seemed a lot more sloppy on the end.

I love how subtle the visions are in this movie compared to the rest of the series. From FD2 onward, every vision or hint is really in your face and I feel like it takes away from the suspense that this movie excelled at.

I loved the idea of these movies that every choice you make could lead to your death, but I think it gets ruined by the rule that you can only cheat death if someone else saves you. It implies death already knows what you are going to do to set up how it kills you so that your choices never really mattered

This, to me, is a very fun movie to pick apart, primarily because of where part of its inspiration is. The plane in the beginning of the movie was inspired by one of the longest, most challenging, and most controversial accident investigations in real life, that of TransWorld Airlines flight 800, which went down in 1996 after a fuel tank exploded due to a short circuit (though some will still contest that it was shot down by a missile.) Also, in the movie, they make it clear that a fuel line is the faulty part that causes the explosion, but what you must understand is that the fuel line is under pressure, which makes the fuel much less dangerous or likely to evaporate and subsequently explode. Remember, flight 800 went down because of fuel vapors, not liquid jet fuel, which is actually very inert in its liquid state. When you put it in a line, the flashpoint will then skyrocket because of that pressure. At that point, all you have to worry about with a faulty fuel line is a loss of pressure, which will lead to a loss of engine power, or that fuel finding a hot engine part to ignite it, and even then, if you can get the fire out quickly, you will neither have an explosion nor loss of life. **gasps for air** my avgeek instincts have been waiting to drop that on this movie for a LONG time.

I hate the fact that everything in life can kill you, even food, so this situation makes everything really hard o survive in, like if you were hiding in a safely secured bunker with your supplies, some knife can just get impaled into your chest. If your by the street, some bus can just run you over, or a shower wire can just strangle you to death. All of this scares me a lot

This is a really weird "How to Beat" since it's not something you can really fight against or think around. You'd literally just have to be paranoid.

Just another thing to add, for the electricity thing, if you’re ever trapped on something that has been charged, you can either sit there and wait because it’s grounded, if you feel safe you can jump onto the ground and land both feet then either bunny hop away always jumping using both feet and landing on both feet at the same time or shuffle your feet along the ground.

The first time I saw this movie was 20 years ago when I was 6. It was on when I woke up in the middle of the night. Right when I woke up and looked at the TV, the plane in the movie exploded and it actually traumatized me, I had nightmares, got scared of simple things and kept thinking I could die any second - and to this day no matter how scary a horror film gets, the level of fear and anxiety I feel with this movie will never be beaten.

I thought the thing with PTSD was how the memory is annoyingly reliable and the traumatized person can't get it out of their head and is stuck replaying or reliving the bad memories at the slightest triggers or references.

Courtesy of a safety video I saw on reddit, the car is grounded so the girl could open the door without being electrocuted. However, stepping out of the car could kill her as powerlines can electrify the ground up to 30 feet away from the downed line. The video's recommendation is to stay in the car until help arrives and make sure people stay 30 feet away, but in the event that the car is on fire or you otherwise have to leave, you have a particular exit process to follow. 1) Open the door as widely as possible 2) Jump out of the car so that both feet hit the ground simultaneously and no part of you is touching the car anymore 3) When your feet make contact with the ground, make sure they are as close together as possible 4) Shuffle 30 feet away from the power line, keeping your feet together. A linesman on the reddit thread said you could bunny hop away with your feet together if you are in a rush, but if you fall it is game over. Anyway, fun video as always! Keep it up.

It's funny how most of us german viewers actually see the message ''Tod'' as ''Death'' and not as a hint of Todd himself, nice coincidence. When the scene came on and i saw it for the first time, i already forgot the bestfriends name and was suprised to see a german word in there XD, but then i realized the article probably said something with ''...Today...''

In Final Destination 5, you can remove yourself from death's list by killing someone that's not in the list, and nowhere near death (no complications like cancer).

I have a theory. I don't think it's Death that is killing everyone. I think it's Death that is giving people the visions. Clear says it's an evil presence. death isn't evil. Death is a natural part of life that carries us into the afterlife. I think it's some kind of evil entity that wants to interfere with Death or something. maybe replace it or give it a bad name. it's messing with Death's design and so the real Death gives visions in order to correct it. So maybe a way to beat it is to find a church with a priest who is deep into old testament lore and knows how to summon an angel. You get one person to do it because to summon an actual angel, you'd probably go blind, go insane, or just straight up die. Because to actually see their true form would be a billion times worse than the scariest lovecraftian horror. We cannot comprehend them on any level. They are not humanoid creatures. Imagine a giant mass thats a hundred bigger than the sun that's made up of clouds, wings/feathers, teeth, fire, light and eyeballs all swirling and moving with sounds and colors you've never experienced before. You contact that, and tell them about what's happening and beg for help to save the others. That person will likely be a goner just from that interaction. But everyone else would be saved from the entity. The angel might even just use the person as a vessel (which can only be done with permission if it's even possible. depends on which canon is true for the story)

If I remember right, the original ending for the movie had it so that if you bring new life into the equation then death has to rewrite the order. I.E. the kid got the loner girl pregnant and she had a kid, letting her and the jock off the hook. He died obviously, because he electrocuted the hell out of himself.

I watched all 5 movies and I love all of them! Amazing movies! I’m usually not a big fan of horror movies but final destination and escape room are my faves since they are not THAT scary but have a good plot.

The easiest thing to do is give birth or encourage weeds to grow (so the seeds can create new life)or plant something than can spread more seeds, since if you create new life that wasn’t supposed to be created, death will be warped.
