"Hey guys, Ambience here. Today I'm gonna be showing you how to not strangle Steel Wool employees after learning that each version of HW is personalized."
One tip: For the Nightmare Fredbear level, after you do your normal shutting the door on one side, if he is not there, you can actually flash the hallway a few times to trigger him to that side. Most of the time he will teleport to his walking phase to the door but sometimes he just straight up teleports right to the door and you may be dead if you are not fast enough to shut the door. I learned this from Dj Sterf’s guide for this level
So basically the pattern is the same but after you shut a door for a few seconds like normal, you flash the hallway a few times to try to trigger him to that side. Do this ONLY if he is not in the hallway when you try to trigger him.
This. Actually the only times I've watched a guide in HW 1 and 2 (which I played first lol) are mostly when I'm just stuck and keep losing without a clue of what I'm doing wrong, but as soon as I saw nightmare fredbear on the thumbnail I simply didn't wanna do wrong lmao
W guide as always, but ESPECIALLY for that ''Soapbox'' segment I know some folks are gonna hate to hear this, but it has to be said - Steel Wool and Clickteam have to be some of the most incompetent groups in the gaming industry, period. The inconsistency across platforms with *versions* is insane for what has been a multi-million dollar franchise since 2016 at least, and I really wish I understood the faults with these much sooner, back in 2019 with VR and the ports. It would've prepared me better for Security Breach I think, and Scott Cawthon's ''retirement''...but we're now, so it is what it is. I think the most important takeaway from this video was that segment about *experimenting*. Before Ambience I only played FNaF casually, and the information and strategies from this community have blown my mind about pretty much all the games. I even had a hand in creating two of the old Weekly Challenges, one of which was beating Baby without ever triggering her eyes to red! Thanks as always for your peak content Scott, I'm impressed by the past and excited for the future!
your youtube channel is so original and iconic. Everytime i search up "guides for fnaf" first one to show up is u. Amazing work that u keep on doing tutorials
I don’t know if you knew this but there’s actually a really annoying bug in flat mode that if fredbear goes into the closet he will instantly jumpscare you. This bug is incredibly frustrating and can mess up your whole run if it happens but there’s a really rare chance that he won’t kill you if you go to closet and shut it instantly.
This is actually a problem in VR mode for me. Flat mode works fine, but Fredbear will ignore the closet doors closing in VR and kill me anyway. Either that, or it may have to do with how long the game's been open, which was what a different youtuber reported.
I have heard of this before, and have no idea what causes it to occur or what version specifically. It's horribly irritating, I'm glad I've never had to deal with it; best solution seems to just be reset if he goes to the closet, unless you get lucky like you said.
This nearly impossible to survive if Nightmare Fredbear goes to the closet bug I think has been patched a long time ago. It must be a different reason why he is killing you when he goes to the closet. I assume you are getting there fast enough. So I don’t really know
@@milesbatton5837 Nope, it still hasn’t been patched because there were various scenarios were he would just to go closet and then I go to it and then close it but he would still kill me anyway even if I didn’t flash him before I closed it.
i Beat nightmare fredbear at my 4th try! thanks to you! But i used a slightly different strategy, which when the 2nd breath ends, i won’t wait for the 3rd breath to start, because that made fredbear kill me, i used like, when the 2nd breath end, i immediately close it.
i can't wait for more potential horror! not in the form of the game itself, but the horrors of trying to figure out how the game works! (hearing about the fact that each version of HW1 works differently depending on what you play it on was WILD)
HW2 will probably suck ass, especially when they set to release it in 2023 the same year that the SB ruin DLC, dont get excited for this shit especially after what happened with SB and its DLC
@@idontknowwhatnameshouldipu1864 Ket me guess, someone should personally bankrupt Steel Wool and guarantee FNAF permanently dies forever? Yeah, shut up. Do they have faults? Yes. As many as literally everyone insists? Not in a million years. I'm sick and fucking tired of this.
what I did was just run to one door, close it, wait a few seconds, run to the other door, close it for a few seconds. i only saw him once when he turned into a head.
Hey, this video made me think something but I am not sure wether or not it would really help. Do you think the strategy where: "You stay at one of the hallways; use your flashlight and if nothing is there you move to the other" would help against nightmare? (the character) Fnaf's 4 nightmare is the only non max mode night that I never beat; also I already have an hard time getting to 4am cause of foxy so I definatly would appreciate a way to make the last 2 hours easier..
Highly doubt it, FNaF 4 works way differently than this level in that respect. Using the flashlight on Nightmare for 0.5 seconds in an instant-death anyway, so it wouldn't make it easier. Also there's an inactivity timer that kills you in FNaF 4 if you stay in the same spot for too long that doesn't exist here.
Hey ambience! thanks to your guides, I've completed the game! However, i have one question for you. 1Are you excited for hw 2 and will you make guides for hw 2?
The strategy I used for nightmare fredbear is I would sit in the middle for about 5 seconds before going to a door and immediately holding it shut for about 4 seconds before doing a quick flash, after the flash if I see his eyes ill shut the door for about 4 seconds but if I don't I'll do a second quick flash before going to the other door. And I repeat this pattern until he's in my room in which I check the bed first, if he's not there then I'll go the closet and immediately shut it for about 4-5 seconds before going back to the door strategy.
@@AmbienceOfficial Im an og fan, and I’m replaying through all these games for the first time since I was a kid (been a fan since fnaf 1), and your guides have been helping me out! I managed to beat fnaf1, and I’m currently stuck on night 5 of fnaf 2! Thanks for helping!
I just did the hard mode for fnaf 3 and at around 2am all the jump scares happed at the exact same time and then all the animatronics including springtrap just vanished
something that happened to me is when he went to the closet i closed it as fast as possible and he still killed me. I think since he laughed while he was right by the door a new one at the door spawned at the same time as the one at the closet so when i went to the closet the other fredbear came in. I may be wrong though since i didn't look around
On switch you flash to see him then if you flash again you instantly die even if he’s at the end of the hallway once you see him walking towards you shut then open
@@AmbienceOfficial haha, true. But hey, these guides are SUPER high quality, so thanks for that. Considering theres some new *experimental* strategies for clickteam games such as Minus 3, will you ever mention them in any of your videos/guides?
@@eclipsevoid_ Possibly, although we're past that for the most part; if I ever go back to FNaF 2 for whatever reason, I'd give it a mention of course, there's been a lot of new strategy developments across all the games since 2021.
Hey Ambience can you make more ultimate custom night guides, people beating after 50/20 mode may start doing 50/20 challenges like 50/20 no death coin, deathcoin routes, greenruns, 50/50 mode?
Considered it, but it's been ages since I did high-end stuff on 50/20. At this point, anyone who's capable of beating any of those things beyond regular 50/20 probably wouldn't receive much help from my guide, there's people better equipped to do that nowadays.
so in short for Nightmare fredbear: Oculus: run to both doors until you see his eyes and wait for him to get close then shut the door and check bed then closet when he laughs Steam: Exactly the same as oculus but flash to see his eyes
Overall, it should be the same. I don't know what properties change, if any, like the amount of safe flashes on Fredbear, but the general strategy of listening for Fredbear, finding him, and closing the door on him remains the same.
Idk if it's just me or something but I play the Steam version of HW yet for me it seems to work the way that you described the Oculus version??? I play on Quest 2 but the game is still run through Steam so I'm not sure why it would do that
Sometimes Fredbear laughs and he isnt on the bed so I go to the closet but he just kills me anyway. Im on VR, so it cant be because of the flat mode glitch. Im thinking its because he is still at a door when I go to a closet, but idk if thats true. What do I do?
Hey I just did NMF yet the fifth challenge didn’t show up? When I beat baby an audio cue of her seeing me played but I didn’t get jump scared. Any recommendations?
if you didn't know night terrors hard mode is actually the final level of the game so you have to beat all the other levels on easy and hard (besides withered mode if you want) to unlock that level. Keep that in mind if your trying to beat the game because thats where you click last
@@agusspeededitor6749 If you didn't the solution yet, i did. You just need to set your max fps lower(like 60 or 45) and then the plushbabies will need more seconds to kill you. I have no idea why it's like that
This game is really not done justice at all on flat mode. And that is especially shown with baby's level. Shutting the doors with just a keyboard key is pretty sad. To be honest, I don't think help wanted should've been ported to console or PC anyway. Levels like plusbaby on controller is just no, no lol. Even though baby's level is still easy on VR, I feel like it's a shit load more up close and uncomfortable on the VR platform when you see her stomping towards you
Exclusivity is a dying fad; VR is no different, especially since currently it's probably the most expensive games medium to invest into, hence why so many headsets cost you in the thousands, and that's not even mentioning people who literally can't play VR due to motion sickness or other stuff. Really, making flat modes should be a must until VR becomes much more accessible and cheap across the board.
