As a fox main in the 11-13.000.000 gsp: Shield. Just shield. We don't have the tools to break it. Our only good tool to poke it is down air and it requires a bunch of commitment if it's not done properly with a cross-up. Like Trav says i'll take the first stock in most games but once you start shielding it's on me to condition you not to do it with grabs. If you keep shielding and make sure you trade blow for blow and keep percentages even you're more likely to win than not, since I only have 3 good kill options (up smash, up and back air) and as one of the lighter chrs in the game I get blasted by a lot of moves.

I dont like fighting Fox either but saying he takes no effort is a stretch. He’s supposed to epitomize a rushdown character and he’s pretty honest in how he plays. Also if someone isn’t good at reading rolls and reacting to tech chases and ledge traps then Fox can really struggle to kill. He’s also super light, doesn’t have many combos, has a terrible recovery (if one knows how to edgeguard it) and is much harder to optimize than you think
