It took me 3 hours trying to do this mission on legendary, it is absolute hell.

Normal difficulty strat: Head to the one with spartans and defend that area. Use hornets to escort civilians. Abandon the others.

This mission was literally impossible - until I watched you use the heal ability. Then it was easy. Thanks for saving me from an ignorant rage quit!

I have PTSD from this level on legendary. I could beat it, but always just scrape by.

Tip: you can fly a hornet over to kill the mega turret early. If you’re bold, you can even destroy the covenant main base. To do so, first bomb the shade turrets, then spam marines in front with two tanks for firepower. Use wolverines to keep air off planes. Locusts deal high damages during overcharge but are vulnerable after. Lure them toward you with warthog in groups of 3, then one your tanks have two stars, heal and bomb the locust cluster directly by the base with upgraded artillery. Now hit the base turrets and kill the troops as they spawn. Spam he’ll bringers and marines early fame to take towers as they provide defense boost and vision. Hirers are basically glass cannons with wings. Only use them when speed is necessary. Otherwise learn to use control groups. Do not focus on upgrading groups, focus on adrenaline and artillery upgrades. Don’t sit back when waves are slow, pressure the enemy base and eventually destroy it. Note that The shades not on the base do not repair or respawn. It can be done. (But it’s very hard). If you do this, then the enemy spawns slow to a crawl. If you can pull this off, then you can probably play Starcraft at gold level (my apm is 47 so I’m not a pro by any means). lol that game is far more difficult overall. Try Starcraft 2 all in on brutal and it makes this look easy by comparison.

the greatest pain in the ass mission when i was younger but its simple now but you gotta complete the secret kid that u gotta rescue from the transit above.

Just bought the game to try out and im already raging, truly a starcraft moment.

Legendary: go for both bases immediately at the same time don't worry about cargo 3 and 2 will be fine if you get both bases quick. Essentially go all in for cargo 1 and occasionally 2 when elites decide to say hi

When I got this game when I was younger, I had to get one of my mates over to aid me with this nightmare of a mission.

Anyone else get to the end just for that damn turret to appear and rip away your victory at the last second.

Shuttle 3 is always scripted to get destroyed, but one time, I lost shuttle 1 and 2 just spontaneously took damage and exploded for no reason. And just to check, I saved my game right before it exploded and reloaded multiple times. All of my units were literally RIGHT ON TOP OF IT and I moved them around looking for ANYTHING that could POSSIBLY be hitting it. There was NOTHING AT ALL within the radius of any Covenant unit's maximum firing range. The programmer was either SADISTIC or STUPID.

Hornet strat for the win i have to say, i beat arcadia city on legendary last night first try using the hornet method Arcadia outskirts was more annoying but both didn't take many tries

That moment when you are playing on legendary and the covenant take the second base... The legendary experience: Locusts destroy the cargo ships. Banshees are upgraded with sacrifice. Vampire spam if you build too many hornets. Hunters everywhere. Failing on the last 2 mins. The mega turret shooting the cargo ship because your units are standing too close. And my favourite one; if you have the boomstick skull on and a civilian dies next too the cargo ship...instant game over 😠😡😂🤣

Well i almost failed that mission .it was yesterday,i was defending the last cargo with every units i had. And now here's a video about it. XD , well im on the mission where you have to clear 3 flood nests to let the pelican evacuate ally units

My first try back onto this game and mission I was on 3 seconds left 3 AND I LOST!

I've discovered that using one base for resources and reactors (preferably the left one), and using the other base for troops/armor etc (one on right), then just spamming tanks/infantry, and a fuckton of Wolverine AA trucks, then setting them up all around the Cargo 1, you should win easy. This was on Normal difficulty. And if the cargo ship gets low on HP, if you can, use the Heal & Repair. If you don't have one, well good luck.

I’ve been trying to beat this mission for a week it’s so hard

I have no clue how I can not pass this mission on regular I always get down to 15 seconds left and the last ship always seems to fucking self destruct Bc there is never an enemy near it

This was the hardest level for me on halo wars

This mission brought 10 year old me a lot of pain on legendary

i need to get back into halo wars no of the boys play anymore all i do now is just play cold war and valorant...

Why do you spawn with 6 hornets? I only get 4.

On the next mission I think the longer you wait the more Spartans you get like one time I went to go do something and I came back an hour later and I had about 8-12 Spartans

Game is dumb as shit. Put every ounce of defense on one objective, every bit of military that I have: Warthogs, Wolverines, drones, solider, even have three spartans and just get one shot by one god damn phantom that I can't even see. I'm done with Halo wars forever, don't even like RPGs.
