There's no need to do the pushing the can nonsense, just keep it on your fork and bait out the attack so you can press down on the D pad to put the can shell on your back.
If you keep the soda can at the end of your fork and hit Pagurus a couple of times with it before he eats the banana peel, the soda can will get damaged. It's a small advantage but still it's better to fight with an undamaged soda can at your back.
@@chriswihulu I received the map piece and was able to progress. I guess your friend got stuck when bobbit worm bug was doable. This method did not affect my playthrough.
@@tembelektuel I think it was less about overall progression, but more related to the boss specifically. Never was able to replicate it myself, less so now that it's been patched, but wanted to hear if what he experienced was known by others.
@@tembelektuel I believe you can use the trait that as the icon of a broken mug repaired at the end of a skill tree branch which replaces your shell for a extra shell for him to eat and if you combine all three techniques he’ll eat three bananas
@@DesmondMiller-x4v That trait will be useful too, in case Pagurus will break your banana shell instead of eating it first. By the way, 2 banana peels kills it surely.
I had no idea I was supposed to be blocking for him to grab my shell, I kept getting intentionally hit by that attack thinking it just always did that but it never worked. I ended up just beating him normally instead since I had no idea how to make him eat it.
The boss have a fun fight! And the feeling of defeating him fairly is very rewarding and worth it. I wouldn't advise doing that. Enjoy the game in the best way!
You can also have Pagurus eat 2 banana peels. Keep one of the banana peels at the tip of your fork. After Pagurus will eat the first one on your back, then equip the 2nd banana peel and have him eat it too. You won't need to lay a finger on Pagurus this way as eating 2 banana peals will kill him.
If you mean how to attach the Soda Can to your fork, you need to have "Scrap Hammer" skill first. Then, use a charge attack on a "Soda Can" so it will become attached to the end of your fork. I haven't showed that on the video but it's easy. You can pause at 0:09 and read the description about the "Scrap Hammer" too. If you are referring to another boss, I haven't playet till the end yet so I don't know :)
Oh now I get it. To take the hammer's head off; you can press triangle or Y button long to take of your shell first. Then you can press down button on the d-pad to put the shell attached to your fork to your back.
Theres an NPC hidden in Flotsam Vale, a shrimp stuck in a bong on a hidden path you need to press a switch to open. The switch moves an arm holding a giant block of trash, and the shrimp stuck in the bong needs the Mantis Punch to break out- hes the one who tells you about Pagurus's banana allergy
@@derangedsockpuppet678 sorry mate but this is not a channel where players play different soulslike games and whack bosses in level 1 with a stick. There are tons of other channels you can find for that kind of content. I just don't have the time to start over and make another video where I beat Pagurus without any strats, just because you tell me that I need to git gud 😁
