Could you maybe do more vhs vids? I really like the series (accept for viral and I was watching a movie (which was viral) and didn’t know it. And I’m a big time vhs fan. That shows something)
Hi, Eagle Scout with a doctor parent here. Neosporin would not be enough to help once a fever set in. At that point, the infection has spread beyond the injury. The fever is your immune system raising your body temperature to help fight off the infection. Once the infection has reached this point, the best thing to do would be to find penicillin, amoxicillin, or a similarly powerful antibiotic.
Still regardless of if they find antibiotics, they still will have to deal with the gangrene limb which will cause sepsis and kill them. Basically they are going to have to find antibiotics and then play surgeon with trying to remove the hand/ arm with some how not killing him in the process. So yeah dudes a goner either way
@@winkletoogan Or if you are out in the wilderness and lost. A lot more probable, and probably the number one cause of gangrene is people with heart and artery disease. A diabetic who just stubs their big toe who is not careful could get gangrenes and need to have it surgically removed by the time they figure out something is wrong. This is real world scenario's, no bird box needed.
I can just imagine her opening the vault doors while saying something like "Keeping one in prison like this makes us just as bad as they are. We have to be better."
Whats sad is there is actually a real case where guy murdered a womans family and she forgave him and let him live with her after he got out of prison and he killed her too! People can be very stupid... Its what happens when natural selection doesnt occur anymore due to how safe humans are.
Sebastian kind of reminds me of Pyro from TF2 in that he genuinely believes he is spreading happiness to all he encounters when in reality he is brutally murdering them in a variety of ways. The main difference between him and Pyro is that he's an unwitting puppet being controlled by the creatures while Pyro acts independently.
If you think 3 blind robbers are going to be able to successful jack a man that can see and is also physically fit you're smoking some good stuff Nerdex.
Wait they were blind? Then what the fuck was stopping him from slowly getting closer to them, then shanking one in the throat with the bottle and then just chasing the rest through the gym (i think it was a gym). Last time i checked running blindly, even if you are used to being blind never ends Well. And i you were to say that one would notice him walking up then just slowly get closer while begging them to let you have the food and right as you get up in their face just quickly stab them. Not like they will see it coming.
@@matijasostojic4288 i think sebastian tried to throw the bottle but the little girl for whatever reason stopped him (i think it was neccessary for the plow twist of them being bad)
@@david.e376 Well i think it's because people need to kill themselves for the creatures to get whatever they get from peoples deaths. But i am also thinking what if this was a normal person.
Seems like you could use thermals or night vision to get around the sight thing. I know figuring it out would take a lot of trial and error but there's got to be some kind of glass/tint/plastic/something that can act as a filter.
I don't know about that. One guy in the first movie tried watching outside through a security camera since it's just pixels on a screen but he still died.
@@master11050 The comment's logic might be to find a part of the magnetic spectrum that can interact with the environment enough to navigate while not interacting with the creatures enough to cause the brain effects. It was obvious that RGB video causes the effects as seen in the first movie but with infrared, the creatures might not show up at all. If you have ever heard of the goggles that the SCP Foundation (Fictional) uses to prevent biocognition hazards, imaging using software to detect if it can see the creature, then the goggles blackout whenever they are around, blur the image enough to not be affected, or only blackout the creature while leaving everything else visible. A way to do this would be to collect/breed rats or other animals and expose them to the recorded video then check the eyes for striations. Rinse and repeat until you find a solution using above methods. Also another questions is how much does your vision of the creatures have to be blurred or altered for it not to effect you, if it is possible at all. Sorry for the post, I was just bored and wanted to see if I could find a solution. :)
@@master11050 Yeah idk how that even worked lol, in that sense, would looking at them from a photo also "turn" you? I assume cameras can capture them since it worked on him...? That just doesn't make any sense. So if I were to take a picture/video of them, i'd just be able to flay that around killing everyone?
@@mumme2004 Using a photo like the medusa's head would have been cool, but far too inventive for the movie. They just wanted to cover plotholes and not let anything deviate from their formula, despite creating a few more in the process.
Its good indeed but some people cant understand why, ive seen some complain about pacing and not liking the mc and all those other shit they piss and moan about.
I'm one of those people who did not enjoy this movie. I had no problem with the pacing. It was that every character was mind-numblingly stupid. Both groups briefly debate taking in the main character but then begin trusting him within the hour of meeting him. When they hear the creatures coming, instead of closing their eyes, they look up. Or the main character not barricading the apt door or arming himself after seeing others dragged from their apartment. I understand scared people making bad decisions, but it seemed like the writers were doing their damndest to kill these characters. It was also established in the first movie that the creatures had a physical mass that was too big to get into the buildings but in this movie one walked up the stairs and thru the doorway for the tram.
was looking for this comment. haven't watched his stuff in a couple years. this is my first video I came back to and I initially thought it was a different narrator with how much his voice has changed
Lore-wise, probably because if you couldn't make yourself bleed then the next best option is to attack something until they attack you back. Non lore-wise, IDK, maybe plot?
I honestly do think it’s very fitting storytelling that they managed to get one of the Demons in containment. That’s how humanity is, to be honest. Nothing if not resourceful
@@clownrat5759 I'm just going off of what I've seen from both movies. The entities never seemed to be physically there (And if they were it would be more like a Alan Wake shadow scenario where you can't touch them but they can touch you) just navigating our world from the comfort of there home dimension
Hey nerd explains, I think a fun movie to “survive” would be “They Cloned Tyrone” one of Netflix’s few good originals. Basically it’s 3 characters dubbed “a pimp, a Ho and a drug dealer” that fumble onto a government conspiracy. Super funny
The part that amazes me about the bird box series is that nobody is even attempting to study the monsters. What do they survive on? What do they avoid? Do they even have a physical form?
most of the info we could gather is it effect on some humans and animals and maybe what they survive on seeing as the creature can be captured it jut hard to know if it has a physical form and what they avoid my guess would be well the creature may take on the form of your loved ones that died if you don't die looking at it but maybe their true form is some kinda eldritch horror type deal but that just a theory a flim theory...... i hate my self for saying that
@@ghizghuth2088 the endings pretty iffy. I think in number 3 they died but the DLC which dropped showed they actually survived? But yeah you’re right, from the plot armour MC couldn’t survive, we wouldn’t either
nah he has empathy, but for himself above all else and really its the most important thing, in dead or alive situation, i for sure will prioritize my survival, even if a child is screaming for help, if i'm not fully equipped to save them, then nope, gtfo while whatever the threat is busy munching that child, its not like you kick someone down so they get killed
if or when they make another one of these movies they should have a character or characters cured from the light angels and able to see normally to hunt down the ones helping the light angels
I hate it in films where someone says they need to find some antibiotics to treat the infection. Oh yeah, smart guy? Is the bacteria gram -ve or gram +ve? How do you know if the antibiotic is broad-spectrum and thus likely to work without knowing what pathogen you're dealing with? Does your patient have an allergy to that medication? How often do you need to give it?
Also not to mention that they always somehow manage to find something on short notice, AND it works immediately instead of over a course like how you actually take antibiotics.
They blindfolded the dog? I'm morbidly curious, did the dog's also attempt to, ya know. ☠️ Themselves in the start? Or was the effect always possession?
As soon as i heard that lady speak in an english accent i knew every main spanish character was gonna die despite the movie literally being based in Spain. Have to appeal to Americans somehow
Don't understand what autocorrect is doing, I spelled "IF" and it changed it to a non-existent word. Then, when you really fucking need it, like say when you are spelling "subconsciously", AC suddenly has no clue what to do and won't even step in to attempt to fix the word. But you say "I live here" and nine times out of ten it will change "live" to "love". How the hell has AC become horrendously useless?!?!
Now heres a question what if you have memory issues you see the monster but are pulled back and restreined before you end yourself and then you forget you saw it will its conitohazard still work?
As a person that lives in Barcelona, the whole idea of setting a “sanctuary” in Montjuic makes no sense. You can reach the mountain by foot (is not actually a mountain, but a hill) and the gondolas do not get you to the top. You will have to walk through a park anyway. Also their route from one of the districts to the next is completely unnecessary and risky. They could have walk in a nearly straight line and arrive to Montjuïc 😅 or use the metro tunnels.
The bus was manual transmission like a lot of vehicles in Europe so one of them could have grabbed the gear stick and pull it to the centre which is basically neutral/park
You should put the "OOHH" sound from the "OOHH MY GAAWD" sfx after you say something funny. For example, the last thing we need is one of them letting the creatures in because it's cold outside "OOHH"
Honestly I believe bird box is unbeaten because let’s be real some of us can’t even find our way out the house wit our eyes closed so imagine walking around outside blindfolded🤔99% of people won’t be able to find food blindfolded everyone dies in the end
@@maskedman5657 Mostly how the movie handle the fear of the unknown. Their decision to not show the creature was an interesting idea, especially for casual ppl that don't watch many horror/thriller. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you it was a cookie cutter movie. i even said it was flawed in my original comment. I was just trying to give perspective of why it's popular.
In the great scheme of things, the movie is generic and not special. However if you put it against the absolute sewage that's being pumped out over the last years, it doesn't look all that bad all of a sudden.
Hey, Nerd your channel is favorite. I know you cover films and shows. I would love if you could also please cover horror games like Dying Light, Left 4 Dead, Until Dawn, House of Ashes, Fallout, Amnesia Series. Thank you
I wish I would've watched this instead of wasting the precious minutes of my life watching the actual movie. A few minutes in when I saw that the daughter was the head vampire (The Lost Boys), I was done.
(Nurse) No, Neosporin would not help. The fact that he has a fever means that the infection has already begun spreading from the original wound. At this point, he would need an actual antibiotic medicine.
@@johnnyjohnsonjohn2593 He probably figured out self control after starting to ignore the little girl giving him commands. The creatures prob lost their ability to control him and since he had already seen them and lived, he could last.
Watching this, I wondered the same fucking thing. Why trust this stranger so easily?!? And wouldn't you put 2 + 2 together after all your members started to die.. ? ONE person joined and all the sudden people are dying.
