This is exactly how taxes work. The reasons why it doesn’t work is because PEOPLE DON’T KNOW TAXES WORK LIKE THAT! People pay an excess amount of taxes. Always keep your reciepts organized folks.
It really comes down to the country and even city you’re in within that country, always check the laws in the place that you reside. Just because it was one way where you previously were doesn’t mean it was the same where you currently are. And always read the fine print ! Also giving away to charity in some countries while owning a businesses will lower your provincial and federal taxes by a lot and allows you to claim more back for yourself under business expenses.
These specific tax deductions don't work for you, that's true. Expense deductions depend on the type of business you run. In most cases, the easiest and most common deductions are phone, laptop, etc

@@MarkTilburyExtra Hey, I don’t see why the “tax man” is portrayed as evil. I completely get that tax incentives are a well functioning tool to establish better environments for all investors, who’s capital in return can boost the nations economy. However, I don’t see why taxes are so bad. I guess as a Norwegian the benefits for the tax payments are far greater then what the median income grope pays.
