That was great. i have been doing this business for 11 years. I am one click away from super host status. I sometimes get the nasty revenge reviews. It is discouraging to work so hard and provide amenities such as you. One pointer I have is try to take out 20% of the kick Knacks. I keep having to remind myself that less is more. thanks again.
Great video, instead of makeup wipes we provide and ask guests to use our black washcloths when removing makeup, its less expensive and more sustainable as they survive many washes before they are turned into cleaning rags.
🔥 I’m with you on this @The Courageous Stylist! This was a great video! P.S. If you have any other questions about starting & growing your Airbnb business lmk.
This was an extremely helpful video as I am listing my first air bnb this week and you just gave me some last minute things to buy. This was so helpful!
Awwww thank you for posting this was informative and presenting; Just what we needed!!! Very happy for you. Thanks again! And fyi your hair was just fine hun!!!
Thank you! This video was so helpful! I’m going to be running and managing an Airbnb and I feel so unqualified. This was great info to be equipped with, though!
Hi, Amanda! I just subscribed and hope that we see more videos from you soon! I really enjoyed hearing your advice and helpful tips. All the best to you! Jennifer
Hi Amanda! Thanks for all your insights on the video. I'm doing research for a book, and stumbled on your channel. I love your content, background, and (whispers* the messy bun). I've subscribed and now digging more through your videos.
loved it! thanks so much! just starting out with 2 beach front studios. Question though, any drawbacks to using a drip coffee machine vs kcup style machine?
Thank you! I don’t think so I actually think drip coffee machines are great too it’s just preference ! We typically only have 2 -4 people at the house which is why we chose the keurig, so they don’t have to make a whole pot !
Thank you! I typically don’t reach out to my guests until the morning they’re leaving with their instructions to check out. I like to give them their privacy and 9/10 times they’ll definitely reach out to you if they need something :)
This is wonderful information and I'm so glad I ran across this video.❤ I'm also a new subscriber and I'm going to pass this video along to my friend who owns a campground and has five cabins she rents out. This is truly a good video for anybody who rents out cabins or has any type of vacation rental.
Thank you for your advise I'm going to subscribe I'm thinking in start my airbnb but I'm feeling a little nervous. A question is necessary supply shampoo & conditioner? and if every time a new guest comes is necessary replaced it. Thanks for you help.
Thank you!! It’s not necessary at all I just like to add it for a. Nice touch ! Especially if you don’t have it listed as an amenity on your listing. If you do then I would heavily suggest always having it stocked :)
Hi, Thank you for the video. I open my Airbnb in October and It was booked only one time. It is a three bedroom house, everything is new and the house has been completely remodeled. The house looks very luxurious. I provided lots of extra stuff and it has a dedicated office work space. I am charging $209 per night which is a lot more than people are charging in my area. I have a five star review from the guess that stayed there. Airbnb is always suggesting that I reduce the price to what other people are charging in my local area. Should I reduce the price? and if yes, Why?
Hi there thank you so much for watching! So in this case I would reduce the price. At least until you can build up your credibility with lots more 5 star reviews ! I don’t know the price of other short term rentals in your area, and if in comparison yours truly is a lot more high end, I would said lower the price to be competitive, get the bookings, get some 5 star reviews, then increase the price. Once you increase the price think about doing $199 instead of $209. It’s only a $10 difference for you and it’s a huge difference to the consumer who sees a 1 in that hundred spot instead of a 2! Believe it or not that little marketing tip makes a huge difference. Good luck with everything I can’t wait to hear how busy it gets for you!!🤍
Hi, I am wondering how often do you wash all the extra throws, blankets and pillows. From what I understand, you provide a lot of stuff but if you wash it all after every customer, you need a laundry mat just for yourself. Can you please provide some feedback about this topic? Thank you!
Sheets and pillowcases are washed and bleached between every single guest. Decorative throws, blankets, and pillows are sprayed with Tide disinfectant fabric spray between every guest ( best stuff ever here’s the link! www.amazon.com/dp/B07KFYK2RM/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_CWXJKHSNRE6SBK1WQDW8?linkCode=ml2&tag=amandalyons-20 ) and washed less frequently. I also have extra sets of blankets just in case they get dirty or ruined and I don’t have time to wash same day. I hope that helps!
Thank youu ! Yes we do! We leave a bottle of wine and chocolates at one of our places which people always love and the new place we’ve been trying out microwave popcorn, small bags of chips, things like that and people love that as well! I think anything that’s thoughtful does the trick ☺️
I used to say white because it’s easy to bleach, but nonetheless it’s still hard to keep it from looking dingy. Now I’d say just match your home as dark as possible! For example my color palette in both houses is grey and white, so I use dark grey. If you have pops of color in your home you could use that color as well! The darker the better for sure they’ll last longer since stains and day to day wear won’t show nearly as much, and when you have to replace them which you eventually will(much smarter to invest in new towels when needed to wait too long and have guest feel like they’re using an old towel at grandma’s house plus it’s a write off anyway ;) ) hope that helps!
Yes ! I use bath and body works. My favorite scents are mahogany teakwood( not a feminine scent, smells cozy) or any type of scent that smells like laundry- a nice and clean smell!
@@amandaarroyo4892 Did air bnb offer you the homes to host or did you personally buy your homes to do your Airbnb? I would definitely pay for extra training on doing this process, especially with wanting to know how long it took to get your property.
