Consistency has always been an issue for me, I usually get very excited creating and then I burn out completely. Your video was very helpful, thank you!
This video 🔥 Finally, someone gave clear, concise, concrete advice that is 100% doable. I usually skip this type of video because it's ambiguous, redundant, repetitive, and doesn't lead you to anything. Thanks!! I'm definitely adopting your workflow. It makes so much sense. Thanks Teppo. Love from Costa del Sol, Spain.
Appreciate the tips Teppo, first time on your channel and I liked the conciseness and valuable tips you provided. I'm getting happier with my quality of videos so now I'm focusing on consistency. Many thanks 🙌
Okay, your video addressed the motivation aspect for me. I'm on this journey myself, fully committed to content creation, and I'm learning so much every month. I'm struggling with the financial aspect and I want to learn how to make more money as a content creator. Your video was truly worth it!
Brilliant! Organization is key. I'm working towards that while balancing my life. I don't know that I'm looking at full-time, but I am looking towards creating consistently... which is a struggle for me. I heard someone say once, "You can do everything, just not all at once." :) I appreciate you!
This is so helpful as I'm still trying to figure out how to balance life and content creation. Thanks a lot for the tips Teppo! Keep up the good work 👏
Thank you for this video Teppo! I still haven't yet reached my tipping point but I hope it is soon. I started my content creation journey in 2020 and still grinding because of you and your brother.
Thanks for this video. I ended 2023 sick and in a bit of a funk, and now that has sadly carried over into 2024. I'm struggling to get back going, mostly because I don't want to keep doing tech and gear reviews, I want to make more creative things, but I have a full-time job, am a grad student by night, and also a husband and dad. It's a struggle, for sure.
Another Great Video, Teppo!! Congrats on clearing the 200k mark, keep it growing! Whats your posting system, do you schedule and if so what are your go to days and hours?
Thanks for your tips. Creating good workflow is so important and I'm still work in progress. With my day job, I don't have all that much time for it, even when I create only short form content for now. But I'd like to start with long form content this year too, although I really can't see myself posting that every week. Do you think it makes sense even to post like once or twice a month? Let's say I don't aim to be a full time youtuber, but rather use RU-vid content to support my photography business and make me more discoverable.
Of course. Post as much as you can in a way thats sustainable for you. You will grow slowly but consistently, and learn tons of skills along the way like ideation, scripting, talking to a camera, editing.
As someone who has been creating on this platform for the last 11 years, this video is like a lightbulb moment in terms of pushing past procrastination and organising the ideas and how to execute them...
Clear and concise. And comes just in time for a creative workflow reset. Thanks! Also, I'm curious, do you shoot A-rolls and B-rolls on the same day, or do you have a separate schedule for this?
My questions is, your videos views are all over the place (just looking at the last 3 months), you have 66k, 63k (views for this video lol), 41k, 22k, 15k, and the rest are under 10k viewed videos, many under 4k. If you made over $200k, how are you making your money? It doesn't feel like it's all coming from views. Something a lot of RU-vidrs in this space do is break down how they are making their money... "This is how much RU-vid paid me for 100,000 subscribers" or videos like that. As growing RU-vidrs it really helps. Thanks! And keep up the good work!
Yep for sure, views are always up and down depending on what type of video you make. Some of my videos are more for views / growth, others are more community building and relationship deepening. I dont rely just on adsense, I have multiple revenue streams for example ad sense, affiliate links, digital products, sponsors, courses etc. All those add up then to make my salary.
Thanks for the encouragement, Teppo! I just recently started my channel and getting to juggle a wonderful marriage, full-time job, and trying to create content is a crazy new challenge. But you just gave me a lot of new and great ideas to better tackle content creation! Much appreciated! 🙏🏽
I do have a full time job and it's so hard to post on RU-vid. Now I have a salary and that's how I bought myself the Sony ZV-1 M2 with a tripod etc, a PS5 for gaming, a nice TV and all I want but I don't have time no more for my dream/dreams. And I have about 3-4 channels (experimenting to see which goes well..two-three channels are the main ones) and I also love making beats. :)) Love your vids! Keep up the good work! 💙🙂
I'm actually not interested in becoming a full time content creator, I'm really happy where I'm at. I just wanted to leave a comment to say how much I loved your thumbnail. Cheers Teppo! 😀
Hi Teppo, great video as always 😊 could you make a video explaining the process of how you would create content for others? Individuals, brands, companies...
Yayyy, we've still got a Haapoja on the platform. Don't leave also, or I'll have to change my last name. That's gonna be awkward. LOL!!! Great Pointers Teppo. Love it. It's so hard trying to stay consistent when I'm always busy shooting and editing, but really trying this year. Fingers crossed and Discipline engaged. Gonna miss Matti
This was great Teppo! You're so close to that 100k plaque, wishing you the best!! Any chance you can get your brother to post a "While I'm gone, watch my brother Teppo for your Haapoja fix." video? 🤣
@@TeppoHaapoja haha sometimes you just need to keep it simple 😅 thanks for the fast reply Teppo. Your channel helps me a lot because I just started last week
If I am not English Native speaker, do you think it's better or should have more reach, making the content in English, or should I stick to my demographic? that idea had my head spinning around for a while know. Cheers and thanks for the great content.
Tough question. If you feel way more comfortable in your native language, it might be better, but if u can push through and learn in english then it might pay off. Also its that question of do you want to be a big fish in a small pond vs small fish in a big pond
After I flipped my first house and made $100,000 I went all in into RU-vid and I don’t regret it one bit. It was the only way for me to actually make it happen.
I'd love to help Darrell, I think with 220,000 subs you should be just fine making enough money. Its just about figuring out the right monetization tips. Send me an email or DM on instagram and I can help mentor you.
I definitely follow the second approach and don't plan to go full time on YT, but if this could me a nice side hustle income, I would welcome it :) Until then I have fun and try my best to learn and improve step by step. Thanks for sharing your clustering workflow. This is also something I had to learn through the hard way. But I think some mistakes you have to make by yourself to appreciate the improvement you learnt by that lesson. Something I recently had to learn on the hard way was during recording the audio got messed up due to faulty mic and had no audio backup. Needed to re-record the session. I think every creator had to re-record something just because of a stupid thing like not pressing record, checking SD card, etc. although everybody tells you what you have to check before recording :D
Teppo I appreciate your content all the time and looking to really be a paid a full time content creator just scared as crap. I am a dad of 3 and a husband.
I'd highly recommend building it slowly and once you see that you can make a sustained monthly income, then jump over! Or then find partners that will do 6 month to 12 month collaborations
Great stuff. I found you via your brother. You seemed like a mellow fellow that liked to stay in the backdrop. Boy i was wrong. You brighten up on camera and I have been enjoying your content for over a year now. Oh I hate your entire outfit...send it to me, thanks. 👽
