Love playing games? Have you ever thought of making one?
This video is all about career paths that you can take in India if you think you want to pursue game development as a career and I am talking about how to become a game developer in India.
People have been asking a lot about how to start gaming career in India, or how to find gaming jobs in india. Here's my 2 bits to make you understand the different career paths that Indian gaming companies offer.
Watch the video and identify what is that one skill that you think will help you make a successful career in gaming. Understand the paths, choose the skill and work hard to polish that skill as that's what gaming companies in India are basically looking for. It doesn't matter what qualification you have, if you have the right skills, there are a lot more opportunities out there for you. So gear up!

From experience I have learned, I had traded my passion for game dev for bullshit like web dev and data science (mazak kar rha hun) for money, shifting back to game dev now. Truth is, the grass isnt greener on either side. Every field requires hard work, every field has its own fair share of hardships. What I wanna say is, bhai jo line pasand hai wohi chuno, kyunke hardwork toh tumhein krna hi parega, lore toh tumhaare lgne hi hain so you have got nothing to loose there.

Nahi Bhai, ye institutes ke saath yehi panga hai.. inhone khud confuse Kar rakhha hai duniya ko..ye game design ke naam pe game art sikhayenge... There are other institutes for game design like NID, iCAT etc...see my video on gaming institutes in india

Hey, BCA me ye sab sikhate hai. Basically basics sikhate hai programming ke... jisme c, c++ ya javascript aa jata hai. But the point is what is it that you want to do? If you are in Arts already, you can continue working on art to have a career as a game artist in the industry

Hi. Thanks a lot for the video. I have a question. I would like to ask you whether it is possible to succeed as a solo developer in India? I am from Mumbai and I am learning game development by myself. I am interested more in game design. I have purchased books on game design, game art and game programming and I am learning things by myself. Unfortunately I couldn't find any good institutes in Mumbai for game development. There is MAAC and they say that they teach game design, but the problem is that they are themselves confused. They are teaching game art rather than game design. That's the reason I am learning things by myself. I have also searched for game design jobs in Mumbai and I did come across a few game design jobs. But how legit are these jobs? Would you recommend to make games solo or would it be better to get a job as a junior game designer at some company? Apart from learning game development by myself, I am also pursuing a degree in German language and literature. I hope that you can help me out. Thanks a lot.

If you love VFX then you should do at least some short term vfx courses along with your graduation. There is a lot of scope for VFX in India... check out these companies - Prana Studio, Red Chillies VFX, Prime Focus

Bro, pehli baat toh sirf pubg khelke career nahi bannewala... PubG aaj hai Kal kuch aur ayega.. agar games khelne me interest hai to research karo ek Game streamer Kya karta hai aur paise kaise Kanata hai. Ye generic cheez hai, jisme better hoga ki tu popular games khele along with PubG like. Kyuki mastering one skillset is not a long term skill, jaise kisine aaj pubg me headshot maarna master Kiya to wo koi pro gamer nahi hai... So game streamer ke bare me research karna, pubg zaroor help karega audience khada karne kyuki wo abhi trend me hai...
