You're too kind, thank you! :) Good lord you did great with editing. Something to add is that getting a Traders Wooden Backpack is better at the start as you weigh 4kg less and can actually carry more out of Narkos Trap. Right after Narkos Trap though you definitely want to work on getting that amazing Large Backpack. At Blister Hill the only thing you'll have that is illegal from Narkos Trap is AI Cores and Ancient Science books. You can safely enter with everything else. I'm only mentioning that because the gate guard has a habit of doing 2 dialogue checks in a very short span of time so make sure they talk to you twice before going back through the gate. 6:34 You were negative bandaged health crippled, weren't ya? xD 7:22 Provided they do not fill their inventory with new stock (As in the containers need to make space for the new items) they should still have the materials you sold. 7:53 Ensure that Medic (Shift click medic at the bottom right) is set as a job BEFORE going on the Fog Pole. Can't assign it on the pole. Also saving and loading a save on a Fog Pole will usually remove all your jobs so if you want to save prior to this be sure to save before getting on. And after losing a single leg just keep it off while on the pole so your unit will medic themselves. I'd suggest defense training after Toughness training. With low Toughness it'll take a long time to defense train. Fantastic tips at the end. My guy this video is absolutely amazing.
Wouldn't say corrections, just added the way I do it. This might be the first guide I've seen (For Kenshi) where there wasn't any misinformation. Amazing job again.@@Omniburg
I've had like 3 people come by who said they saw your video and decided to check out my stream because of it so thank you again :)@@Omniburg And good lord man congratulations on the views temp!
I think one other trick that bypasses a few storage needs: item mules & living distractions. For 2-3k each, companions can be used to just haul items or distract guards (stealth is broken less when they look away).
Haha thank you dude! I’m so glad to hear that and I was really surprised to see that many people watch this, too. I’ve got a new video in the works right now
Just love how absolutely scuffed this game is and how equally scuffed the ways most effectively train each stat. Want to train strength, fill a backpack with iron and carry a dead guy. Want to train toughness, get beaten into a coma over and over again or just get your limbs chewed off while concsious. Man but do I loooooooove this game. Can't stop playing it.
yup, get complety over encumbered, goto the hivr village near Hub, train stealth there as well, pickup a gorillo, place on a bed, train martial arts lol
And the best way to train lockpicking is to get caught stealing, go to prison and try to pick the lock to your cell without actually opening the door lol
A couple of tips: 1) a “safe” way to get decent stealing, stealth, and assassination do without cheesing the safe and restart is to find a downed enemy (preferably crippled so they can’t run away). Whenever they wake up, stealth and use assassinate. Once they start playing dead, pause and put something in their inventory before stealing it back (rapidly boosting thievery). Running around them when playing dead also boosts stealth. 2) whenever you remove a cyber limb while in combat, you character instantly plays dead. By doing this while surrounded by enemies and getting back up, you an rapidly boost toughness.
Just got Kenshi last week and haven’t played any other game since. I stream it for my fiancé overseas and she loves watching it. I’ve watched a lot of Kenshi videos so I know a decent amount but this feels like a nicely refined amount of knowledge; basically like you said at the beginning lol, but I appreciate the dedication and I am subscribing just for you taking the time to make a video like this.
If you're gonna do toughness training after having lost a leg then you might as well just get surrounded by bandits at a stationary camp (so they don't walk off) and remove your leg to force the playing dead status. Put the leg back on and give your character a move order. Same as being beaten unconscious.
great guide that does not involve kidnapping cat-lon at start and cheese imprisoning him to be training dummy. i just want to add that after fogmen eat your limbs and you put mechanical ones instantly. your limbs are technically still bleeding, if you remove your limbs. it will mess up your healing if you try to heal later while having mechanical limbs on. so after you run away from fogmen, you need to remove your limbs again , and first aid yourself until your stumps stop bleeding.
I used to play Kenshi a lot and I had an idea. The holy nation hates skeletons. If you have 3 or 4 limbs, you are a skeleton. The leader of the holy nation can be kidnapped and you can remove his limbs and turn him into a skeleton. Doing this will likely mean he was a punching bag/training dummy for a while. I don't know about you, but my training dummy punching bag slaves got really tough. Now if you were to capture the leader of the holy nation and use him as a punching bag for a while, then give him 4 limbs to turn him into a skeleton, would his people attack him? Can you buff him up enough as a punching bag for him to murder his own people solo?
I tried this and unfortunately HN doesnt seem to react to their own people, or leader, having their limbs replaced. I dropped em off back in town and went about their life.
@@TheDilden Thanks. I know they will call you a skeleton if you get 3 or 4 limbs and I know you can train up npc's to be super tough by using them as training punching bags, so I thought maybe... It would have been hilarious.
Thats a very nice strategy for a start. I'll normally start in the hub, become an alliance with the Ninjas for 10k, buy hash in the swamp, and then mad dash all the way to the other ninja hub in the UC. Easy fast cash in like day 3-4 and then I run to amour king, and the skeleton hub.
I find the perfect combo of bags for looting is a wooden backpack for stacking items, a thieves backpack to give you the advantages of a medium bag with better stats for hauling your survival gear and extra carry room, and a large backpack for hauling a large volume of stuff. Just keep switching out bags as necessary depending on the situation.
Easy early money is the closest hive village from the default Hub start, the beak things and gorillos will always loose to the hive soldiers allowing you to fight them in a wining battle and collect money from the pelts, once strong enough you can attack the fog men and take the heads for bounties
once you got a bit of atlethics you can even lure the beakthings to the hive, let the soldiers take care of them, then go back to the nest and get dem juicy eggs.
One little tip for kenshi ... if you remove your left arm you will always get a 0% knock-out .... the game factors into you having both arms to register a KO. So you can remove your arm and spam assassination and get that up faster on practically any enemy in the game that is around.
You guide is great! I did a small variation but followed the most important parts of your guide Instead of stealing from Narkos Trap (the guards kept finding me even with 86 sneak), I went directly to Mongul and stole the robotic limbs he had in the chest. I got Masterwork strength and Sneak arms and legs, will come back in a few weeks to try to get scouts. Im on step 5 now but I can see the plan clearly and appreciate all your tips into making my character strong.
Really Grateful - I needed an Update, needed a source that didn't burn time, and thank you for the FrankieWuzHere Reference. That is Gold, and I believe I can start a game, after many years.
There might be an easier way to get toughness. Instead of them beating you up, which makes you take damage, lose blood etc., you can just agro all of them, and then pop your legs out, this will knock you out for 3s, than you put them back on and get up(gaining you toughness xp), and then immediately remove the legs again, not taking any damage.
@@detectivewhocoulditpossibl6834 yes, but I guess if you remove your arm you will already be "crippled arm" so I think you already receive the bonus exp for being critically damaged. Anyways, it's easy enough with any of those strategy
Im so waiting for Kenshi 2, i hope the add a LOT of animation for different levels of things, like for example in the beginning you should grab your weapon in a very bad form, like a really amateur. And i also hope they add a shit ton of animations for levels, also dual wielding and daggers. I need more kenshi.
I started to play Kenshi last week. I created my first character and died, then with another died again and again and again. I began to give random names to characters after realizing I will die a lot. I was hanging around the holy nation and then bonedogs ate my leg, I crawled and searched for a leg for days and finally found one in a village. But after the tech leg, the holy nation started to attack me whenever they see. I was building my base in their green lands near the river. :( I got beaten a lot but kept going. Then I found your video 2 days ago. Now my 5th character, Barbeque, is a walking monster. I am going for revenge on those Holy Bastards :D great vid.
To me Kenshi is easy mabye I took it the easy way mabye I got experience from other games. Such as Empire Earth, Stronghold Crusader & Generals, I started with a skeleton because they are kool. I looked & learned the stats I understood how to make money. Mining cooper and then I just snow balled from there having small objectives and understanding the game mechanics. At 1st I just recruited and recruited and picked my fights used the advantage of crossbows and using very fast characters to scout and understand territories then from there I understood that crossbows outranging and kiting opponets is OP afterwards I estabilshed small farms & bases here and there to get money & materials At 1st I just had nomad mining cooper parties because they were very profitable moving on I started a small base in some ruins then from there I just understood that for research I can use the defence of other settlements mixed with the fact that I can just buy books from neighbouring traders moving in reaching higher levels of technology made me really push it I lost some characters searching AI cores characters that I grown attached to but that was part of the growth... moving on ~ 1 IRL year later. I killed the ENTIRE no I WIPED the entire holy nation all because they were not kool with skeletons and I like skeletons.
Did he say it "should take take more than an in game day or two"??? Just to pass that XP??? This is amazing !!! Im not sure my life is suited for this game but I'll give it a try ́
To me Kenshi is the perfect game I've always wanted. However I don't like these tricks. It defeats the purpose of the struggle which is everything the game is about. I have only seen 2-3 videos on the game & don't really know much. I like that I can just do whatever I want & play in a free world & yolo. Every day is a different adventure.
Just play as a skeleton. Assemble the skeleton gang. Just 4 of you will be unstoppable. After recently starting skeleton only playthrough I've no idea why some people claim that organic races are stronger. Great video, one small nitpick - assassins' rags aren't that good on organics especially when soloing, but in a team could still work decently well.
my favorite training bug was to beat up a beak thing near the western hivers healing it in a bed then practicing my martial arts on it, really good way to get early levels. Highly recommend modding the game as well using the video's exploits the vanilla leveling can get tedious but don't let that dissuade you kenshi is a godly game.
On my game, went for black gorillos, 6 of them, training art martial until 90 (so good dext and str), then put some of my armor and get them beaten by hungry bandits to get dodge xp and thoughness. Now I just go around and capture all the VIP and chain them in my city. Only took 10 guys, but could do it with 100 :')
15:26 "Cat-Lon repeats this speech ever 6h" If anything, that only reinforces the lore that he is indeed mad. Skelingtons need to 'reset' every now and then to avoid old age madness, but Cat's hasn't been reset since, what, before the fall of the Second Empire?
for some reason, I always get caught at the gates of Narko's trap so I had to mine COPPER for cash but everything else is supreme gg my friend. Edit: I didn't know the bag had a stealth penalty so I removed it when entering Narko's trap.
Hey man! Yeah I’m so sorry about that, I had to make a second channel for these videos. I made a community post about it on my channel but I was worried not all the people interested in this series would see it. Here’s a link to my second channel where I reuploaded these videos, and the newest episode (4) just came out today! The series is still ongoing, not yet over. youtube.com/@OmniburgPlays?si=askBD2p3Pak0NHJt
Found out you can skip step 5 almost completely if you tried to make it all the way to block 100 in step 4 due to the sheer amount of shinobi guard beatings it takes to get those last 10 levels.
just a little ways southeast of the southeastern most holy mines but before the deadlands there is a patch of flat desert where a huge pack of starving bandits spawn, its the biggest pack of them that spawns, and there is no other creatures out there for occasional holy patrols that spawn there, and if you put on heavy armor and just block while letting them beat you, and be sure to click get up, dont play dead because getting up around hostile enemies gives you a bonus modifier to your toughness, you can level your toughness there to 100 stupid fast
Step one: learn the game mechanics. Step two: get beep and agnu step three: Die a lot Step four: Master the game mechanics Step five: become a GOD of kenshi Step six: Introduce some mods Step seven: see your god get eaten by cannibals/fogmen
there is a better way , put a beakthing in a bed in one of the hive towns , and kung fu it , you work str/dex/toughness/unarmed all at sametime, use the huge back pack and cheap armour that gives MA debuffs for sure, you can get skills upto 60+ in less than 1 day easy.
I agree with the opening statement, while im not great at kenshi, whatevr that means in a single player sandbox, once you learn the game it isnt hard to avoid bad things happen to you, but its very hard to stop bad things from happening once you stop avoding them, the thing is if you dont get your ass kicked youll never progress in the game, the games actually very forgiving IMO, you can get beat to near death like 50 times and literally become better for it
Or.... you know you could just level up your stealth right when you spawn and just rob the stores in squinn and make a million cats and masterwork equip by day 15..... Seems like less hasle then running towards narkos trap and abusing bugs is kinda... i dunno. Why dont you just start cheat engine and increase your stats that way ? Like what is the difference?
08:05 When I'm equipping my limbs and exiting the prison pole, my character is collapsing to the ground and immediately getting picked up and put back on by a bugperson. What, if anything, am I missing here? All replacement limbs are in perfect condition, Blood is in the high to low 30's. No idea what the problem is.
If done the way I showed, it should work fine. It could be because your legs still count as injured until healed, I think I recall something like that happening to me, they just didn’t drag me back to the pole. Try dropping in on a Frankie stream and asking him, he’ll know.
@@Omniburg Thanks for the help anyway man. Interestingly enough, I googled this issue, and a post came up on the subject but it had no replies. I then DM'd the person who had made it two years ago, and it turns out I DM'd that Frankie guy who I had never heard of until today. Had no idea he was a famous Kenshi expert. Mad.
@@horsethief822 haha that’s crazy! He knows practically EVERYTHING about this game. Super friendly guy and he has always been willing to answer questions.
Exploiting unintended features or bugs isnt my style, im all about mining copper for 20 hours to get a start, there is a lot of exp to gain from labouring and carting heavy loads. I worked my way from the bottom up and now im starting to take bounties out, and being able to actually combat things, but i'd hate to have to do it again lol, all that copper mining XD
I'm at the waystation trying to kidnap the skeleton doctor but can't. The option doesn't even come up, and I don't get how you can have 100% on *both* stealth KO and kidnap anyway. I'm sneaking and sitting behind him as he opens the door like you do, but the option just doesn't appear, and stealth KO is at 0%. What am I missing?
cant seem to figure out the iron HQ part, my character hardly attacks unarmed, and when he does it is negligible martial arts gain. at the rate im going, it would take months to level up
95 toughness, masterwork samurai armor and leggings, masterwork tin helmet and i cant get past 64 martial arts as i never get a chance to swing. my dex is around 60 as well
OR you can just use cheat training dummies mod and you char can become a god without leaving The Hub. But seriously nice vid! Some of this tips are wide available by the game itself however not disclousing the best place to loop it.
A couple other RU-vidrs have said guards are only searching you for hashish, not stolen items? Are they really just looking for anything you shouldn't have?
based and red pilled video, subscribed and only complains that i have is when you talked about ''securing the bag'' you didnt mendioned how to get the traders backpack, or how to use garru's backpack.
Thanks for the subscription! As for the trader’s backpack, it can be bought at any boot shop and as FrankieWuzHere commented it’s actually better to use that raiding Narko’s Trap than the Large Backpack, which was absolutely a mistake on my part! I can’t give a tutorial on how to use Garru Bag as I actually have never used it myself!
@@Omniburg oh ok so you dont know, i can gve you the summary them: theres 3 backpacks taht are the best in the game, each on ther on regard, these are; thieves backpack, traders backpack and garru backpack. thieves backpack is the best bag that dosnet have skill penalties (well, i lie, it gives -2 to combat skils, which in praticality is nothing), making it the best bag for combat characters. typically you can buy them on the shinobi trader. traders backpack is the best bag that can stack items and be worn in the back, it cannot be bought, it is worn by some traders in holy nation cities (in blister hills, bad tooth and stack) and in mongrel. you must kill or knockout the trader and take the bag from ther bodies. and lastly but not least, the garrus backpack is the backpack with the biggest capacity in the game, the only problem with it is that you must place the bag on the ground to acess it if is not worn by a garru. these can be bought by animal shops (i think some backpack shops sell them too)

i didn't know anything about Kenshi. I spawned, stole some things and ran away to the desert, the rest is history(my first character never died to this day). I think Kenshi isn't that hard, it just has an unforgivable world, so a lot of mistakes can result in dying. But using a bit of common sense you can survive most of the time, you will find that aside those mistakes there are others that will take you to becoming a lot stronger by committing them
thing about the game is that if you want a good fighter character, he will need to be in dangerous fights where he will certainly most of the time get almost killed. only way to get high toughness on a character is to get beat up in fights. which will usually translate to get getting a second character that wont get into fights and will act a as a rescue medic when your fighter character gets beaten up.
You need a medium thieves backpack and 2 trader backpacks, you can store one in the other when empty. rrader bp first. as it can stack items. if you can get there, reaching the grey desert waystation is gold. from there you can wait for raids, ninjas brining their equipment to you;) Then buy andnbuild the tower and go from there. i usually place 1 guy there doing all the research in safety, while roaming around yourself. Narcos trap is not really needed until Much later. you got unguarded similar location in the swamp, at the grid there are 2 locations as well. or just raid the drugslab and sell at the mysterious town for 500% So many ways lol
I experienced the same thing. Make sure to do toughness training in Skinner’s Roam first, make sure block isn’t on, and ideally wear equipment and use a weapon that penalizes your defense stat as much as possible or suffers from penalties indoors. Usually leveling up to 80 comes quick but 80-90 is a bit of a grind.
Moll is the leader of the Flotsam Ninjas, and if you select a dialogue option telling her you won’t side with them, you will automatically ally with the Holy Nation
What it does it ensure you get hit. Hitting R resets your character which prevents them from blocking and dodging. You want to get hit because getting hit gives you much more melee defense than blocking hits does. Make sure you have a weapon equipped, otherwise you won’t get melee defense XP. Also, turn hold off because it gives you +20 defense which you don’t want.
Lol I'm doin this rn while waiting for my stupid grievewraith matriarch to get hungry... bish takes foreeeeeeever lol... But I wanna tame her... hopefully someday she'll get hungry enough to join me
you level lockpicking and assassination, go into Heng or any city with skeleton limb shop, knock the shopkeep out and steal everything. Gives like 60k per day@@RedSemen420
right, so the only way to have a satisfying experience in kenshi is if you research everything there is to know about it online, minmax the sht out of it and use every exploit there is. good game.
its because kenshi can be THIS broken when you know how to exploit it that i refuse to play it this way now. I used to play this way a decent amount, but then i found myself using the bank/thieves guild to make money for the hundredth time, and had one companion stationed in the great library for the hundredth time, and i just couldnt do it anymore. Infinite money and infinite blueprints wuth 0 risk. 0 challenge or reason to do anything besides those two things means 0 fun. If you play kenshi the "optimal" way too much it just ruins what the game is supposed to be. You can blame that on the way the game is balanced to some extent, but i love the game too much for that. I'd rather just restrict myself from certain playstyles.
You don't need money. You can reach 95 toughness in 3 days, and then you start punching everyone to death. Step 1: Spawn in the hub Step 2: attack a drifter holding a club step 3: Get ko'd, then immediately get back up. Getting up immediately gives a huge toughness boost. Depending on where you were hit, and whether the next hit could cause you to enter a recovery coma you may need to go lie in the free 8x bed inside the abandoned house for a few minutes. After getting your most injured limb to 0, you then get back up, and get hit again until you are knocked out, then immediately get back up. Repeat until 90 toughness. My record is 90 toughness in 1 day. The game is an exploitable joke, and you can become a god by playing for a day. Whoever streams this all day must be very easily entertained.
It is all "exploits", npcs stop chasing in water, steal from this guy because for some reason he doesn't turn hostile or remember, quick save, quick load eh. I don't like playing games like this but to each their own
I got bored once I learned how absolutely ridiculous a party volly firing Eagle cross at enemies are.. Now I don't Rin that many ranged units in my travel party
