Great video! I am 13 years old and I want to be a defence attorney in the future, this has defiantly inspired me to take on my dream; and has really helped me decide what and how I am going to do things in preparation. Thank you.
This is great! I knew in eighth grade that I wanted to be an attorney. It's never to early to start thinking about it and talking with others about what you want to do.
I'm three years too late.... But I'm so very thankful to have found this video! It has helped me in choosing my path, (in law). So thank you both for the help!
I’m so glad that I found this video! I am going to school right now to be a paralegal. I was trying to figure out how you go from that to a lawyer and if it is even possible! I was in a domestic violence situation. What I found when I left was that you can leave physically, but not legally! I was stuck! I want to help other women free themselves from domestic abuse, safely and legally! Thank you for sharing! This helped a ton!
Thank you so much for this informative gem! I will be beginning my bachelor's degree journey in the spring! These challenges to come are quite exciting.
It's is good but not great-- there are already so many law schools around DC, and the top firms take Ivy League law school grads. Therefore you should try to go to the best-ranked law school that accepts you. Good luck!.
Peace be to you! This is great content! My daughter is preparing for college. I wish she wanted to go to an HBCU. Maybe seeing you positive sistahz could inspire her!😉She may find this interesting! I work in Washington, D.C. We have MANY options for law schools! "Thumbs up"!🤓
hey benzy i definitely plan to diversify as my channel progresses....my vision initially was to highlight my amazing girl friends who were doing great things. However, I do plan to add a couple of my male peers to my channel shortly! Hope you still subscribe, thanks for the tip!

No, it won't matter as much but it's also very risky to go solo right out of law school. It is better to work for a firm for at least 2-5 years to learn the ropes and save up some money. I am a solo in NC and went solo after working for others for 6 years. Good luck!
Hey im Devonte i just got back from Washington and we toured Georgetown i was wondering is it true that most people get through based on outside scholarships?
why are so many lawyers out of there field? like if being a attorneys is a secondary job? or not interested in it! don't get! for instead a lawyer slash pro wrester? do they stop because the money is not that good? just asking!
I have a question , I’m pretty young (13) but I still have made the strong decision that I want to be a lawyer because it’s never too early to know what you want to be soo , I know you have to get your bachelors degree first before going to law school so do I have to go to an university first and get my bachelors degree for 4 years and then take the test to go to law school or do you have to do it online
Taeja Smart you do have to get your bachelors degree at a 4 year university or you can go to community college for two years and complete the rest at bigger university because it saves you a bunch, doing it online is fine too but law schools highly recommend doing it on campus.
Many cannot afford to retire. There is no general answer, but I spoke with an older attorney who confided in me that he can't afford to retire. He is a well-respected solo practitioner who does criminal and traffic cases. The attorneys that I know are retired inherited money from their parents.
it depends, high school grades are of course important to get into a good college, but better grades in college will get you into a better law school. make sense?
I went to the University of Florida. UF is the number one law school in FL, and then comes Florida State. When selecting your law school, think of where you want to practice, what environment you want, what the school has to offer in terms of what you want to practice and also the price of the school Hope this helps!
I'm a lawyer. I worked as a paralegal first. I believe it's more helpful for when you start practicing after law school. There were 1 or 2 classes I took in paralegal school that helped with law school. If you end up working at a law firm take full advantage of the opportunity! Shadow lawyers, ask questions (about law school classes and the profession), volunteer to help with a case or trial. This will help you figure out what area you want to practice in, gain experience, build your resume and help you to get clerkships after your first year of law school.
