Ladies and Gentlemen, this is a definition of a prodigy child. She is special and we should appreciate every minute that we witness her. I just wish the whole world could see what we see. I guarantee the world would be a much better place, thats for sure.
One might think that the artistic growth shown in this video represented a decade or two of practice and development. It is incredible how far she was able to go with it in just 2 years. I imagine every song she covers had this much work and thought behind it to get it right where she wanted it, and what we get to see on stage is the version that she finally deemed perfect. I sometimes wonder if the work and practice is to figure out what the final version is... or if she heard the final version in her head all along and the work was just to be able to express it properly. Either way the final version is always pushing the boundaries of perfection.
Just pinging around on the piano while mom is getting her hair done. I think how most kids see having to practice on the piano as work, while for Angelina it is "play". Then just two years later she performs live the best version of this classic song I have ever heard. Most have placed multiple crescendos in their performances of this song (like John Legend in yesterdays inaugural evening performance), while she does just one Incredible run at the end and leaves the audience in AWE! That's what they remember; how smart is that. She makes such good decisions when constructing her performances.
@@wajj1842 I too saw the John Legend performance last night, and all through it all I could think was 10 year old angelina is miles ahead of this. (and don't get me started on the melencamp rendition of "here comes the sun"). It's funny, every time someone does an "angelina song" (which given her huge library is very often), there is just no hope for them in my view. It doesn't matter if its a contestant on a talent show or a high level artist like john legend.... they have no chance of matching Angelina. She can be compared to lots of different artists, but she also has some magical ingredients that I just don't hear in _any_ other artist.
@@RustyShacklefordChannel Yes, I agree. And her version of "Feeling Good" stands alone for me, mainly for the reason I stated, but also because, well, it's Angelina. It was Bon Jovi who sang "Here Comes the Sun", and it wasn't even in the same league as Angelina's performance at, I believe, age 10. And the backdrop in hers of all the children would have been so appropriate for the times.
@@wajj1842 ha! thanks for clearing that up! I don't know why I thought Bon Jovi was Mellencamp, they don't even look alike. ...but I guess I haven't heard anything from either in so long that I just got them mixed up. Either way... that was a pretty rough vocal on that one
Thanks Yozhik, for this very nice progression of Angie. It s so nice to see these things for songs that she completes. She very patient. God bless her.
Yes, this has been a journey! I hadn't seen the earliest (age 8) video before, so thanks. Having discovered Angie in 2015 watching Lilyhammer, and finding out who she was. It's been a marvelous journey to this day. Full of absolute awe and enjoyment every minute. I believe this is her year to become a mega star in the industry, and hopefully the pandemic won't continue to slow that process. Thanks as always!
Thanks Yozhik, that of the 3 steps of her growth on this song is a wonderful association, which I had never really noticed. Angelina is so incredible that sometimes you can't even notice what level she can reach, Rusty is right, in just 2 years she has managed to elaborate her version of the song in an exceptional way, I don't think it's easy for anyone already, but from 8 to 10 years of age it really seems like a fairy tale for children ... as long as they are like Angelina ❤️ 😂 She is simply unique 🤗
This is precious footage. You can see not only the incredible talent but the way she is working her way toward her final product. She is not playing. She is working. Mesmerizing.
Nice! Of course she is a Phenom. But she is also focused, determined, and dedicated to making her dreams come true. We all dream, but how many of us make our dreams our meaning and purpose in life? She knew from a very early age what she wanted to be. And she was, and still is, willing to sacrifice whatever was needed to make it happen. And those of us who have been on this journey with her have witnessed her metamorphosis. It's been such a pleasure following her growth and development. And now she is on the verge of Super Stardom. Brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my face. Love you Angie! Thanks again Yozhik, for another of your Terrific videos. 💕
Most people I talk with never heard of Angelina Jordan. I'm 57 years old and lucky for me discovered her 2 years ago. I've went through a lot of Kleenex since then. My entire face leaks when I listen to her.
This is an awesome find, Yozhik! Such a special girl from a young age. I would like to see Angelina develop her piano playing skills! Imagine that! If she's unstoppable now, what she would achieve if on top of her outstanding voice and musical sensitivity, she added piano playing in some of her performances. I know she's capable of anything she puts her mind to ♥
Beautiful.... But she is not improvising (as the text below the video says), but just singing the song "I'm feeling good", all the way long, (there is no note outside the original melody, not even at the beginning of recording). What is impressive is that she is accompanying herself on the piano while singing the song, at such a young age. Amazing as always.
