Hi. I'm a nurse in China and plan to apply for Australian RN through OBA. I think the tests will be challenging for me especially OSCE. For OSCE some agency in China offer video courses, but I don't think this is enough. So I wonder if there are any institutions or agency in Australia who provide any training for OSCE? Hello Mam! As mentioned dto sa vlog ko, you just have to submit your NCLEX Pass letter sa Portfolio part po, then you’ll proceed to OSCE. You need to go through this whole oba process but will skip the mcq/nclex stage.

Hello. Really depends if you meet the work visa reqts and your experience. It requires at least 2 years of RN exp for the last 5 years. Or else, work on your PR visa points until you get invited and granted with a PR visa, that’s the other option. It could take awhile though, depends on your points. Min points to apply is 65.

Is this gap acceptable in Australia. I just don’t want to take risk by doing all these 6 steps and then get to know that there is too much gap so I am not eligible for registration. Hello! as long you’re Stream B on OBA, you could take nclex and osce to be registered in AU. Mostly Ahpra will ask a statutory declaration of your work Gap, but they won’t require an RN experience to apply for registration. You should be fine! Goodluck!

Hello! Unfortunately, like US NCLEX, Ahpra needs to review your documents in Portfolio stage and approve it to move unto the IQNM or NCLEX stage. You have to wait for the approval prior applying for your ATT as instructions will show on your dashboard then.

How long does it take for it to be approved? And how long does it take to be a PR in Australia once you started working? Thank you so much.
Hello! 1. Yes, you need to apply for work. If you’re overseas you will need to have working rights, so you should have the right visa and sponsorhip would be needed. 2. The approval varies, depends if you have submitted complete documents. The fastest might be 10 working days. 3. PR again varies. You need to meet the skilled migration point system, submit EOI then wait for the invite. The invitation to apply for PR doesn’t have a timeline. If you don’t meet the minimum point requirements, you can’t apply for EOI for PR. Just search it at AU Immigration website. I am not a migration agent. 😅

Hello! You could actually do 2 things. Either take OBA or do conversion. Since PR ka cheaper mgaral. Just check with schools how much. Usually you can do 1 year conversion, roughly ganun dn timeline ng OBA. Both will lead to AURN. No need for RN experience for both, but it will help you get paid more later, depends on the years of experience.

Hi! Yes, you have to be in AU for the face to face and for the OSCE exam. Have you enrolled for a review? I believe they accept OET, but not CBT. Just check ahpra’s website too. Once registered you can apply through seek, linkedin, and in the facility websites.

Hello! Depende eh. After nclex, you have to pay osce to be in the queu, and if offshore you have to provide a visa first to get a date. If you all have it, maybe within 3 mos if lucky, you’ll get one.

Hello! 1. No, you’ll just need to secure and submit a certified copy of your NCLEX RN Candidate report/Pass letter to Ahpra through Portfolio Stage. 2. AU doesn’t required CGFNS. If you’ll NZRN, you could just apply for AURN through the TTMR act. No exams required. Goodluck! 🙏

Hello! If you’ll take the student visa pathway, I would suggest to do OBA and finish it. You could work anyway to support your fees. Find sponsorship when you’re AURN. That’s the best I could advise.

Hello! You have to apply a valid visa first before they will give date. The date depends on if you have paid the OSCE and be in the queu, and have applied for a visa. It varies really for offshore.

Hi Haze, is that ATT valid for 6 months because I was going through APHRa website there if says that it’s valid for only 90 days which is 3 months? And other than that can we not check the available test dates of nclex without the registration with nclex? I am still waiting for the eligibility but just want to check what test dates are available in the coming months….
Hello! Oh maybe they’ve changed. During my time and the pandemic, it was 6 mos. Anyway, unfotunately, there’s no way you could check it unless you have the ATT on hand. Unless, you know someone who has att, they can check the dates for you. 😊

Pero yung prc license and passport is hindi pa, saan po ako pwede mag pa ctc at notary dito, sa ph embassy po ba or sa any lawyer? Hello! If BSN sa AU, no need na po as it will lead to registration. Though if BSN elsewhere, depende po sang bansa, but mostly if and if BSN sa pinas, yes you would need to do OBA or conversion (BSN) in AU to be a RN here.
