Thanks Lucy! How much do you pay annually for the certification fee? I studied the application process and i think we also would easily qualify, but i find it hard to justify the expense. If I'm already doing all these right things in my company, why would i seek external (paid) approval, when i could use the time and money to do even more good within my company instead... does that make sense?
yeah 100% makes sense, I do get a female founders discount but from memory I'm still paying around about the £1k mark. We had the same hesitations before joining but it's unlocked a lot of doors for us and created partnerships with brands much larger than us, so rather than see it has paying for something we are already doing - instead we are getting more benefits for what we are already doing. It's all about how you use it though, don't expect to sit there with the certification and magic things to happen, I just leverage it and put the work in.
