Quick tournament sucks I've come to realise. I hit 4 birdies out of the first 5 holes, and then it gives me +3 for the next 13. It should roughly follow the trend of the holes played. Lost the tournament after being in the lead. 😢
I really did getter after watching this video. Thank you so much. I know every shot isn't perfect and golf is a game of ups and downs. I try not to get down on myself after a bad shot. Thank you again
Awesome video. Not won a tournament yet but getting better with practice and had my first hole in one today in an amature event, which made me forget about the couple of bogies 😁😁
I just stumbled upon your video and out of interest i hopped on. Very enjoyable, thank you for all the background info, it helps alot an also thanks for the good laughter at the end of your video about not bragging or kind of sorta haha . Hope to see you on the greens out there sometime. Cheers
This game needs a replay function...massive omission from the finished product. also the ability to zoom the camera the full length of the hole and to go much higher would be nice. Both features that other games have had. A deep stats record would be nice too
I made a shot that I'd love to post on social media and feel you on that. Hit a double eagle that bounced off of the top of a mountain at wolf creek. It was so absolutely ridiculous. I also on wolf creek was about ten feet from making the green on a par five due to the luckiest bounce of all time hitting a dang cart path and ricocheting 150 feet (literally clipped the side of the walkover bridge on the elevated par 5). Tried to recreate it for hours and couldn't. Also had a hilarious moment where I bounced off the top of a tree and made it back to the fairway (was 100 percent OB). I agree. Replay mode is a MUST and I don't know why it isn't in.
replay..absolutely agree. zoom out to full hole lenght... not gonna work on many rigs, too intensive. But I agree, some more zoom out would be amazing.
Just watched your vid and my question is, how many hours or tournaments did it take to unlock those additional skills you equip on your character? Thank you.
@@BookTheWin Ah right, gives me a bit of a bookmark. I've never played a golf Sim before and I'm finding the difficulty brutal, but thankfully I'm seeing incremental improvements, thanks for replying 👍Sub on
it doesnt take long, buy on the shop a x2 exp booster that lasts 45 mins. play as many holes as you can, but also as good as you can. Always do spins for both drive and approach, just need high or low ball and it will give you 20 more exp per shot with 2x boost. It will be much slower the from lvl 45 to 50 but take your time and enjoy the beauty of the courses, specially the grandmaster's Pete Dye!
You should increase your swing tempo, you swing very fast each time, if you increase your swing tempo you would be more accurate.. currently you have speed and overswing working against you
@@BookTheWin understood, wasn't trying to sound negative or anything I was only suggesting it because increasing it would give you one less variable to have to factor in
In tour mode I actually disagree. It's easier to consistently overswing and learn to account for it via the marker than it is to perfect swing every time. Because of this I only go for perfect in arcade. Otherwise the mistakes for a mis swing can be costly. This is also incredibly helpful when playing putting challenges. Learn to putt on max overswing and you can learn and nail the challenges more consistently (currently have every challenge completed for masters, pga tour, and the players, about half the sponsor challenges done and about half the championship moments challenges done (also have all the practice challenges done but those were easy)
@Shane Waters congrats I've finished all the challenges, 2 years of seasons, have 5 hole in one's on this new game, and have been playing ea sports golf games since idk 2001, but im sure you're right and idk what im talking about...
On the hole at 7:34, why do you have to club down? The green is 7ft up and there's barely any wind. I thought you were supposed to club down when the hole is below you?
The higher the Iron the more it runs out when getting over 160 yards you want to always lean to at least 1 club less. when it's 230 yards you 2 or 3 clubs less because it rolls a lot on this game with higher clubs. It's a great routine to always club down to the one that if you over hit gets you there.
@@thesteelehometeam boost doesn't make it easier to make 2nd shots if your playing on arcade then you might as well. It's mostly useful for spinning if you over hit or under hit and reaching greens that could use an extra 10 to 20 yards.
The formula hasn't changed that much since rory. There are people who are insane at spin control and can literally nail chips and pitches as easily as I can nail a 3 foot putt. But here are some basic tips that can get you better at it. Go to challenges and practice chipping challenges. Learn the natural spin of the ball. Sand wedges typically will roll backwards anyways, but find a wedge that is pretty neutral like the 60 wedge and practice with that. Also, major tip that I think most people don't realize, you can actually turn full shot arc on in the menu options. It defaults to half arc. The full arc will show you exactly (within a 10 foot circle) where the ball will land. This is incredibly helpful on elevated slope greens. PS. I have a power character that has 9/10 power with club specs for more power. Many par 4s are actually reachable that shouldn't be.
I jumped straight into career modes amateur tournaments n sucked badly 😂 played 3 events, made no cuts lmao And I hate the grids on the green. Immediately turned that off😂 eyesore
I think Sim settings are fine except putting. In a real life event I can physically see the green slants so judging by a small compass on the bottom of the screen isn't very Sim like. And it's virtually impossible to see the slants on many of these greens just visibly.
