How to become TOP GRADUATE at BMT! 

30 years ago, it was called honor grad. The best advice I could give is do what your told and stay off the radar. Also, if you have anyone in your unit with the entitled, rebel attitude you need to straighten that crap up quick, fast and in a hurry. It'll eventually cause everyone grief. Remind them they are not at home anymore, to tow the line and keep any negative high school drama to themselves.

I was in a good running for top grad, 97 on pt, 4 demerits on rla, didnt fall anything and was element leader, but I fumbled on the eoc, got a 92, still ended with honor grad tho(for context, the most emphasis is placed on eoc)

Went through BMT in 1982. Main goals are to just get through basic, go to tech school and then to duty station. (SAC). That's it just do the best you can.

How long after MEPS and swaring in did you het BMT/Tech school dates? It has been 2 weeks already and we have heard nothing.

I go in late July and my goal is to get top grad, honor grad, Warhawk status, and expert marksmanship. I have been training and studying really hard for a long time. What is something to help me further prepare to achieve this goal?

BMT no longer does BEAST week and they instead are doing PACER FORGE. I’m not sure what I should expect with this though.

how is the USAF RESERVE units in CA for you so far? I heard of two programs the STP and the RAP to help with experience when youre back in CA, like when you are back you only have two days out of that month like maybe do some more work, what happened when you came back and also what is your AFSC? How happy were you being back in california? After experiencing texas do you think you realistically can see yourself taking advantage of the ridiculous housing market in tx? Thanks. Here's the BMT mindset that never changes. There are thousands who went through BMT. Take it day by day and you will be ok. If you need help with anything don't hesitate to ask a buddy for help. Ohbyea I don't know what it's like today but Basic had some good food. Eat up.
