How is it useful at all? There's pylons, potions of return, and the shell phone. Plus rope, minecart track, teleporters etc. There's plenty of ways to teleport

@@TheRealBatabii potions of return pain in the ass to make, same thing with shellphone, pylons are a different thing entirely, rope, minecart, teleports need to be set up before hand which eliminates the ability to tp home for a quick inventory clean up/to get something you forgot

@@Ptoki1 rope can be set up in mere seconds. Portions of return are well worth it since you don't need to build an entire house for it. You can teleport home with the mirror and use a teleporter to go back to wherever you wanted to be. The setup just seems unnecessary. Getting around isn't that hard that you need a specific self enabling spawn at any given point

@@TheRealBatabii 1. Rope only works vertically AND you need a shaft 2. As i said potions of return are a pain in the ass to get and unaccessible for early part of the game, not reusable and building a house will take a minute max, fishing up an obsidian fish takes at least 30 sec and then you still need to farm herbs 3. Teleporter once again assumes you have set it up beforehand, which is an entire different situation, also ots expensive as shit. This isnt made to be a pylon, this is made to be a fast way home and back

@@Ptoki1 1. if you're just going down to the underworld, you only need rope. Hell, you can go back and forth just by falling and mirroring . 2. If you're that early in the game that you don't even have hellstone yet, it's not that important. You can get to basically anywhere you want just by using pylons + hellevators, even on a large world. 3. Teleporters take much less setup than this complicated housing. Literally just three clicks. And 2.5 gold per tele is chump change. That's less than you get from a single boss. There's no need to be so impatient that you can't just take the extra 10 seconds to get wherever you needed to be just by running/flying/etc. Hell, I don't even remember to use potions of return most of the time because it's so easy.

us casuals have better ways to do this for most of the game though

@@xaitat Extremely convenient, I use it while saying up for pylons, or build one really quick if there's a very specific place I need to return to.

@@xaitat I literally explore all of my world in the first 2-3 days, if I find any good cave I use the bed warp there. Unlike most people, I try to get a good Armor before I even get the nurse, sometimes even the merchant, it helps me cruise through rest of the bosses till skeletron.
