I found the 1 draw was the easiest and as you move up the register it takes a bit more delicacy to hit the notes. The break through for me was someone describing the tongue shape as a spoon to pull off a bent note. Using perfect pitch on RU-vid for an individual tone helps too. But finding a song with the bend you are after in it is the best way for me to practice, it puts the note in a context and you can hear if you got it right or not really easy.

LOL. Your beginner blues lessons here are corresponding w your beginner’s course videos that I’m taking. I started month six, which covers bending. I’m using the app Bending Trainer (basically a pitch meter) to help me know when I hit the intended note. So far, I find hole 3 easiest to bend though I haven’t yet reached A flat (3D///). Having trouble w hole 6 - reed doesn’t want to move.

Do you inhale or exhale when bending?

You can bend the draw notes on holes 1-6, and the blow notes on holes 7-10.

hi Liam, so i know that i can make the sound of bending, but i want to know if pursing my lips, like tightening them to the hole is effective, keep up with the lessons!
