I don’t understand. C on Hole 1 will sound different than C on hole 4, 7 and 10. How do I tell what specific C note I’m supposed to play out of 1,4,7 and 10
I'm a 77 year old woman from England and a total beginner with no musical talent whatsoever but I've just managed to play this, badly, but hope to improve. You have explained this in a way that has encouraged me to keep going. Thank you.
I’ve got 12 holes on my one plus a wee bit that I can push in on the side of it for some reason n I don’t have a scooby wat it’s for it does make a different sound
A question. I want to learn to play blues. I’m not a raw beginner. I know music theory. My harmonica playing is rusty. I’m not up to an intensive weekend of lessons. Which of your courses is the best place to start? Or do I pay for the weekend and access it over time on line, and your other lessons? I saw not other contact link on your webpage.
I spent my first year learning basic lip pursing and some songs… I quickly realized that something was missing so I started over learning tongue blocking. I spent the next year doing nothing but learning TB techniques and perfecting the basics. I was studying theory throughout both years… fast-forward to present day, and I’m able to play almost anything by ear, with way less frustration when transcribing a song. It gets to the point where you can hear a lick and you will see the notes as it relates to the harp position being played. If I could give any advice, it would be to avoid learning songs for as long as possible, and focus on becoming the best harp player you can first… then learn songs when it is MUCH easier.
