If you guys have any issues with attacks from the rear either put the leed on the corner of the box as it chases you or move the original foundation back a little to provide better protection 🎉🎉
I'm on the Center with 'Leed' issues. I learned the hard way they come into narrow deep water ways. It destroyed my raft. Only thing I can do is put pillars blocking it from coming into the waterway. I'll build this for taking out. Great design.
DUDE!!!!!!!! Your videos are awesome, glad to see you really going for it! Congratulations 🎉 super happy for you, and now for me because I get to watch them 😂
Depending if the megalodon or any othere creature Will atack the xiphactinus, we could remote control all the gates and trap all 3 of them, maybe close the bottom in case they get attack by creatures or use hatchframes, I wonder if it's possible, I'm about to go do all underwater caves and I think I'll try to tame some xiphs soon
@@SoloMobilGaming hm, never thought about taming those! You can just add extra pillars to the bottom instead of the fishing chairs if you wanna enclose it more
@@JustUhDe I'll have to go check it out. Raft builds are always fun. I typically use either XPlants or Turrets mounted underneath to ward off the Leeds. :)
Great idea, unfortunately it didn’t protect my boat. It did make it *harder* for it to be damaged but from the right angle, but the leed could still keep on doing leed things and chew on my boat.
That is true, however it kinda defeats the idea of it being a taming raft then if you have to keep driving. It really is a great design and mitigates a lot of the damage, just better for shallow water for sure
@@PinkRainProductions it's more for emergencies, you wouldn't wanna try to tame something if a leed was attacking either way. It's so if they do your boat wont be a complete loss and would give you a 100% chance to get away compared to an almost guaranteed boat loss
@@JustUhDe champion, I just have missed that the 100 times I went over it 😂 🤙 sick build by the way 👌 thanks heaps for the video, my mates gonna love this
@@TravisTheSavage Just tested it on official. If you have any issues just move the original foundation back a bit and they cant hit you in the rear. Also I just use stone because that's what the majority of people have access to
i hate console gamer on ark, i hate pve player but the leed is always dangerous when u start fresh on any server & choose the raft life for the starter. gg for finding a way to avoid this. im just sad that it would LOS the turret & make the raft an easier raid , its sad.
@@JustUhDe ye their just no meant to be too op cuz in particular scenario u can get into mesh, bases with it,avoiding all defense, so they nerf it over all. :/
@@JustUhDe that’s what I’m wondering. I’m on an official small tribes PvP server and I wanted to build one of these and put it in between my raft base and the border wall to protect it from Leeds on the island. I was not near the border wall when I was building it so it’s a different issue.
@@JustUhDe but official servers(which Smalltribes counts) all share the same settings the only thing different is that in a PvP server players can damage structures, and they have boosted rates. But nothing has been changed for platform saddles. But the big thing is the wording of the error message, if you try placing a behemoth gate or a cellar door it will say something along the lines of “this structure can’t be placed on a platform” that makes sense. If you place a structure and you’ve reached the structure limit it also have a sensible warning. But what’s an active event? That doesn’t make sense, it’s not that I needed a specific holiday event or a mini game or a weather scenario
Last time I remember about raft structure doesn’t protect your raft from damage because leed attack damage the raft itself and I had that happened multiple times even with a server with my friends but hey it’s been a while since I tested it proved me wrong though my memory is doo doo
