Well I'm not discontinuing work permanently if that's what you're asking. I'll always have this channel for any personal projects I may put out but for right now it's a focus of mine.
The way you wrote "Good video Wren." Made me laugh XD You seem like that friend who commented just for the sake of commenting. But I know you actually do care tho 😂
I like your videos an' all but to be honest the most prominent thing that i notice is that you just seem to be a DAMN GOOD human being. Like, you just seem like a pretty cool dude so i commend you for that. Also, hello from the UK :)
First video in like a year, and I don't even care that it's an ad! I know you are super busy these days doing Vfx for Corridor Digital, but you should make more videos!
Missed seeing u on ur channel Wren! I like using stock footage when is needed and AE templates too cuz they are many times done extremely well and a time saver. Hope to see more of u soon. Thank u for the link! Will check it out later. =)
Thanks for the information Wren, it will help me big time later down the line. I also enjoyed the new intro you created. Oh, and thanks for ruining CSI for me; this whole time I thought it was all original footage haha
Daniel Nava Haha I mean, pretty much all the main shows use stock footage typically. Or they DO film it but they send out a unit to film a bunch of stuff the exact same way stock videographers film stuff, so there's not really much of a difference anyway haha.
*Awesome* video Wren! Informative and made me LOL 😂👍 I went and subbed to CorridorDigital so I can check out and thumbs up your work! 👍 Now... will there be any miniature, spinning replicas of a Cute Wren/Puppy available in your store...? 😜
It must be such a dream come true for you to work with corridor digital which I'm sure we're huge inspirations on you. Did you approach them or did they contact you? You make awesome visuals and they're lucky to have you, Wren. Good luck!
Great Video ! Really good information to keep in mind, Thanks. Your green screen shots looked very professional. I was wondering what plugins you use other than after effects (keylight) to chroma key your gs footage so well. Thanks
+wrenthereaper I've been watching this channel for some time and I can understand things so much better then the other tuts online.. I've recently got into special effects and 3d animation and am creating a game in unity, I just wanted to say thanks for inspiring me!!!
Mate... We have noticed your absence of late.. But your true followers know you're busy with Sam and Niko. Feel free to continue your epic journey.. While we watch ;)
Great intro!! Fascinating video with lots of info. I'll have to watch it over and over again in order to understand most of what you are talking about. (totally not fapping, I swear.) Holding out hope that OMEn comes together somehow for you!
thanks for the video, wren. Looks like it really added production value for omen. I did the trial for videoblocks awhile ago, and now they email me so much....
Hey Wren, I was thinking of making my own harry potter videos and i was wondering if you could make a tutorial on the priori incantatem spell that you used in your video OMEn Chronicles (The one where the two spells clash) it looks really cool but i couldn't figure out how you made all of the parts with it. If you could make this tutorial that would be awesome.
Still not really comfortable giving my credit card info over for free downloads. They do warn that if you don't cancel they will charge your account at the start of the next period. Maybe if I was doing a lot of video work but I just wanted to sample their content.
Lamentablemente no entiendo nada de lo que dices en este vídeo al igual que los otros pero aun asi me gusta lo que haces jajaja...te felicito y que te valla bien :D Saludos
parmsib I see what you're saying, and that's valid. It wasn't so much to "keep interest" as just because I wanted to. I liked the style, I liked the look, and I like being able to make what I want.
***** I was fairly confused as to why it was black and white. I was just looking for the reason. And, generally the reason is not "because I want to" in filmmaking. But this is just constructive feedback, if you want to do it, then obviously the choice will always be up to you.
Brett Rayner I hear ya. However, I believe liking the style and liking the look is a very good reason. If this were a short film, I'd probably hold myself to a higher standard of frame motivation. For something like this, the only motivation is style and pace. I feel the B&W b-cam helped with the pacing of a video that (regardless of what people think) can very easily get dry and slow without proper attention. I believe it was an extra touch of professionalism that adds an amount of visual variety. Since you were looking for my reasoning I figured I could elaborate more than a sentence. Thanks for the feedback!
***** Totally understand! Thanks for taking the time to explain! It's all useful in learning how to make better films. I'm a huge fan btw, thanks for making these great tutorials and tips! Please dont stop :)
+Simon Maharik He does but that's for his team at Corridor Digital where he, with a few others, does incridible videos! You can check out their stuff just by searching for Corridor Digital on RU-vid and on Patreon. Wren really stepped up his VFX game in a new video on Corridor Digital called Magic LEGO Powers!!
Ha, I KNEW I recognised that warehouse studio! Also, that track at the end (Carefree by Kevin MacLeod) - I used it on my own video recently. First one. Piece of shit compared to your work. But it was free!
