YES very good point. We tend to get extra work when they change things up. I have a building now that changed the mechanical equipment. I love change order$. Where you tuning in from?
Hey, thanks for your videos. They are very helpful. quick question. what do you mean when you said $6000 for low voltage, what is it that you call "low voltage"?
As far as material goes, do you go through and mark prices on every single item you anticipate will be needed or just an estimated guess with a safety net?
@@1SageP1 we try and get every part except wire nuts staples etc. Those just add a # per job, room floor. However makes sense to you but $5 X's 100 jobs a year is still $500 so find the sweet spot between 1 hr of counting those vs. What's the amount to add on misc.
@@howtodoelectrical200 Yeah I would figure, is the issue what they pay or the cheap clients? Would love to atlk more about it if you have done it for a while.
Thanks for the great vid I’m in process of waiting for my test date to take my exam in cali I spoke with several ppl they told me that I have to take a course on estimating first do you have a favorite software course ? Thanks
I can't belive it's berm 16 years since I took mine. I teach estimating on cussing valid all the time. Is there an estimating part on the test now that they are talking about?
Great video, I wanted to ask you guys when applying to take you c-10 contractor license, do I need to register a name first or I can just take the test???
Good question, if I'm correct I got my name ready and corporation if going that route. That way it's assigned right away. When I got mine lic numbers matered now they are in the million so not as important.
If you know your going to pass then yes. It make everything go smooth but not 100% necessary. They will tell you that you passed and then assign the lic #. But being prepaired means making money sooner. Watch my video on being an electrical contractor is so easy...
Yes I can help more in Cali then most places and some codes have chenged, but as far as getting started and ins and outs of sales YES! I also have Solar paperwork for Electreical Contractors coming soon!
@@The360Electrician how much does that cost? I'm starting from ground zero on I don't have employees I might have to just use them out of the temp agency for the time being
@the360electrician can you tell me what all is included in the $249? Is it just coaching or does include paperwork to start an electrical business? Thank you in advance.
You obviously haven't been on our channel long. We don't take it personally. We are a little crazy. Come back when you see the value, or can always buy it from another channel, that's OK as well.
Very interested in obtaining the Ultimate Paperwork for Electrical Contractors. Super stoked , thankful to be gearing up to get going in the right direction. Thank you for the insite 🫡🇺🇸⚡️
