In my state (CT) you need an insurance appraisal to bring the car to inspection when it’s fixed. So if copart doesn’t provide you with that then you’ll have to call the insurance company and try to get it from them if it’s not a dealer car so that’s why I always look to buy from insurance companies.

Many times the check engine light is on without the start of the car. Its because the engine is not running and theirs no oil pressure. Also, most importantly. When buying salvage titles make sure you know what your state requires to correct the title. Insurance may not cover you either and if you find one that does it will be expensive.

It’s hard to sell a repaired (salvage titled) vehicle. The sale price is so much lower with a salvage title.

What are some methods a female beginner can use to find a reliable body and repair partner to take cars to? What kind of negotiations typically occur between repair shop and dealer? For example, one might assure them you will bring all the cars you buy to their shop for a reduced rate on repairs?

No difference for a woman over a man using these strategies. Drive around to find good body men and make connections. Negotiations vary, sometimes I’ll negotiate to get a better price and sometimes the price is what I wanted and I won’t negotiate. You don’t want to be known as that person that always haggles. I also use heavy volume for negotiations, more cars you bring them = better prices.

Lol the cost for repairs is insanely low. Tires, oil change 200?. Used tires alone are 300+. Also I only stick to clean title cars

Thanks for the info but you didn't mention getting the title running through inspection and getting the new title. Also when you said labor that's labor just to fix the damage and I doubt it includes paint too. What you doing for paint?

Yes, you can buy through your personal account in certain states. Check on copart to see which ones you can. And there are multiple work arounds for passing inspection. I can’t get in detail here, but dm me on ig. Thank you.

@@randomstuffboi279 naw, car doesn’t have to be “totaled” to have a marked title, and if the insurance work wasn’t completed in a large body shop or by insurance may not always show on title…doesn’t mean car is right…if you ever plan on resale or trade in, copart is a bad idea, if you gonna ride it till it dies..you can find decent rides…some folks don’t mind marked titles…but you better know what your doing..
