1st of all thank you for your video. My water pump was good. My radiator was good because it did not hard a leak, If it did was very very small After I pressure tested it 😊. All I had to do was flush out the coolant system that run through the Engine. We took a water pipe hose and run it through the system 😊 What happened was air was trapped in the system and wasn't allowing the coolant to flow properly. This happened because it was super cold when this problem all started.

FYI: The water pump does't "kick on" its driven by the cam chain and its on as long as the engine is on. Maybe he means the thermostat opening?

Yes 100%. If everything is working properly it should be easy and the system will bleed out the last small amounts of air on its own.

Does the car still have to be lifted when bleeding it I'm having the same problem

Air always goes to the highest point so whenever I am bleeding air I try and make the point that the air is coming out of the highest point because if it’s not the air is going to go somewhere else so as long as it’s at the highest point than you should be good and where they make the bleeding line as long as the car is flat like perfectly flat that should be the highest point because that’s about even if not a little higher than the radiator cap

Not suppose to open the bleeder while the is running

You have to too bleed it correctly, while it’s moving water and thermostat is open. That’s why people have so many issues is wrong information. Done it on 20 diff Nissans and infinity.

@@A.R.K.Fab.1My bad...and it does make sense. I have been dealing with this for a while does the radiator cap stay on? while you do this? And how many turns for the bleeder screw? 😂 One more ..,so do I start the car before I open bleeder or after there seems to be so much pressure when it's hot I don't want the screw so blow out I have a 2006 G35 x sedan what a pain it's been to bleed I've watched a million videos. I'd appreciate your expertise this has been a thorn in my side

As air is coming out the bleeder valve at the end of the whole process of bleeding it, do I gotta refill the car with coolant or as long as there’s coolant in the reservoir it should be fine and no need to refill ?
@A.R.K.Fab.1
@A.R.K.Fab.1 3 года назад
With coolant in reservoir you should be good but I’m always second guessing myself and honestly if their is air in the system it may not be able to pull it out of the res. Because it can only do that when the system is sealed and free of air. It’s like a syphon as the radiator fluid lowers it pulls from the reservoir... so if it were me I would use the rad cap while bleeding and once I was done I’d put some in the res. Tank as well. Hope that helps!!

@@A.R.K.Fab.1 I’m the same way haha so fill up everything then bleed the air using the bleeder valve screw and at the end re fill the radiator and res cause I have tried bleeding it with funnel while the car on idle but it just overheats later on again while blowing cold air on heat mode
@A.R.K.Fab.1
@A.R.K.Fab.1 3 года назад
@@LastoGBrah ya I d it on’t use the funnel. Just make sure that the car is perfectly flat bc where the bleeder sits is the highest point so the air will go to that spot. Also when I have done it in the past the car at idle doesn’t get hot enough to kick the water pump on so what I would do is hold the rpm at like 2000 while sitting and after 30 seconds the car would get hot enough to kick on the pump. Also the lower rad hose that goes into the thermostat housing should be hot to the touch once the cars at temp. If not the thermostat won’t open and allow the coolant to flow through the block and push all the air out.. you can use the big rad hoses as like little pumps, once everything’s flowing I’ll squeeze the hoses and pump them to help push any air stuck out but use gloves they get rly hot once everything’s working right.. and make sure their is coolant in the expansion tank just for safe measure if it needs it, it can still pull from their. Hope this is helpful let me know if you have any questions

Change radiator and thermostat tried to bleed still over heating

I missed this comment sorry for that but when you bled the system why did you stop? What made you say to yourself that it was good and air was bled out? Is there heat? Was the heat on when you were bleeding it? The heater core could of had air stuck in it..

How did you remove the upper bolts that hold the condenser to the rad?

How did I get to them? Or … not sure what u mean. Swivel head ratchet that extends will get you into 99%of bad spots..

$15?!? I spent $50 for an OEM thermo.
@A.R.K.Fab.1

It was just a generic one from Oreilleys for my sister not the actual OEM one. If it was my car, bc I drive the piss out of anything, I would of definitely went with OEM at minimum.

What if u delete the bleeder?
@A.R.K.Fab.1
@A.R.K.Fab.1 2 года назад
I took mine out so there’s less shit to brake overall and that’s fine just when you bleed the air out do it the old way through the rad cap front end lifted on a jack and the hose you take the bleeder out of is shaped funny air gets stuck so just remember when doing it.
