How does the check valve help? You're still having to tighten and loosen the nut while pumping intermittently. I'm unsure what the difference is.

Yep. Seems to me a plain ol' piece of tubing works just as well.

While waiting for parts (Fork bearings) My reservoir drained or emptied. I didn't use this technique, I just squeeze with no draining or pressure any help or do I need to order new caliper?
