thumbs down for me, he forgot to tell us if we keep the cap screwed on or off when we turn the wheels from side to side, too important a step for him to miss it. THUMBS DOWN for me.

Man this is giving me a headache. I recently installed a new power steering pump on my 04 Legacy. Turning is better initially, but the more sharp turns I make, the more the steering wheel gets stiffer. I popped the hood and realized there's a pool of steering fluid that's leaking from the top of the new steering pump, right where the lines go in. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could try next?

If the power steering pump sucks in fluid when I start the car does this mean I am also sucking new air into the system and basically having to restart the bleeding procedure? I have a car that I have tried to bleed for hours and no matter what I do i get hard steering while not moving and loud whining when it gets close to lock. Also no matter how much I bleed with the car off it always sucks a lot of fluid into the pump and almost empties the reservoir. There are also no leaks so I am not sure how air keeps getting in.
Last video i watched you said never use atf fluid and in this video you say use recommended fluid which is ATF .. which is it why the conflict in message ?
Hello ty for the great video I have a 2008 BMW 328i sedan I need to know as I have a PUSH button to start car..when i have the wheels BOTH OFF the ground..do i have to push the start button w/o starting car to turn the WHEELS? wont they lock up? what I'm asking is what do i have to do to turn wheels without having them lock?
I have a 2000 chev silverado . the problem is the power steering to the left works fine but when you turn to the right, you have no power assist . I think it is caused by a bad steering gear box. What do you think.
Thanks for the informative video!! As you said "turn the car off immediately" if there is still air in the system, what happens if you turn it on and do the lock to lock and do not turn it off?
