I really appreciate this video and all of the information you shared. Please don't feel that you need to rush or shorten the video(s)... I really enjoy the long ones - especially when I'm coloring along. You do lovely work and you just earned a new SUB🙂
Having just watched your blending video I was trying to say that you did the most comprehensive job I have seen. I learned a great deal. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the great job.
Finally finished watching the whole video I love how you didn’t break it up into parts and it’s the frost colouring video that I have enjoyed watching and not felt overwhelmed I’ve only just got some alcohol markers and have just done my first basic picture and can only dream Of being able to do such a lovely picture. My alcholo pens will probably just get used for block colouring as thats what I find easiest with my autism
Can I just say your quick little sketch of the fox actually looks very artistic; I really like it! Don't be so harsh on yourself; you have serious skills :)
Beautiful. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I love to sketch and color. I enjoy working with colored pencils and would love to try these blendable markers. I've torn up several of my own pictures. Lolol My sketches are good but my coloring technique is not so good. So love these tutorials! ❤❤❤ Thank you!
I worked in an art studio pre computers we had these I still have some they last for years. You can use lighter fluid to blend the colours I used to have a lot of fun with these pens. Love the smell 😂😂😂
I just love this video Claire! I have been afraid to use my alcohol markers but I love this method…I’m going to try it now! Thank you so much for the encouragement!
One other thing that works for me is when the paper is bumpy with a lot of texture; I color with the Pencils then use an eraser and then color over it again. For me it feels like the color gets into the groves/teeth and stays put, especially with wax based pencils like Prisma. Keeping the Pencils sharp, really does help.
Hi Claire, thank you to show us your technique with alcool markers!! I’m right now tryin my new markers on a page and I obtain good results working from light to dark, first I put a base with the lightest color and then go over with the middle tone, and at the end the darkest. This just to share.. 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻 thank you I watch all your videos!!
Beautiful Fox Claire, love the colors combo and you ddi great with these Markers, Thank You for this Awesome tutorial, i never heard aboiut that Brand of Alcool Markers but they worked well!
I bought my son markers to color with and I color with pencils. I W hatched this video today because he passed away yesterday. He loved to color with markers. So now I'm going have to try it.
Great video. I hate to be one of those people but it should be noted that although markers as a whole are "magical", Magic Marker is just a name brand that has been out of production for a few decades, now. For example, there is no such thing as a Copic Magic Marker. It's one or the other but can't be both. People often refer to photocopies as "Xeroxes" even if the copier is another brand. My own mother often calls low quality off brand bleach "Clorox" when the label clearly says otherwise, lol.
This has been VERY informative. Thank you. While watching I kept wondering why your voice seemed "familiar." I finally figured it out. Do you and Adele come from the same part of Great Britain? 😁
With my pens I have a white pen but it doesn’t colour it is used for blending am I right for thinking u add a bit of water on the blame white pen and then go owner the others colours
What kind of paper must one have to create these blending effects? I’m using a paper that was recommended for markers by someone but it doesn’t work to blend this. It seems like the paper has to be glossy (at least somewhat) so the ink stays wet enough to blend. Mine is just soaking into the paper.
Obviously paper that is made for markers works best, but you can blend them on any paper really. A smooth, non-glossy stock with a flat tooth works best
@@ColourwithClaire Ah! I think I was just using colors that were too far away from each other...also purples, which you said were more challenging. I tried with some blues and they did blend together on this paper! Thank you! :). Awesome video...I love all your videos. Thank you for sharing all your tips!
Edit: I tried applying more and more layers to the purple and woah! It worked too! (I guess I forgot the importance of applying so many layers in order to blend!!).
