I feel like your brother-in-law. I was stationed there from 97-00 and I loved it. It's a special place. I try to visit it every year. That place never gets old to me. 🤙🏾

The people are great. As a tourist we never had a bad encounter with a local. We always felt welcomed. If I could make it make sense financially I would move to Hawaii next week

@@mailagibson6787I have a question 🙋🏻‍♂️ so I was recently looking up apartments and rentals in the Honolulu area and noticed the rent is crazy high like 3,000 a studio high lol my question is how in the world do people afford this? I’m genuinely wanting to know I’m a cook and I couldn’t afford this on my current salary.

I love Hawaii so much is crazy. I don’t know how to explain it is like heaven. I feel so happy everyday even when it rains I like it 🤦. One day I will move to OAHU Hawaii for sure. I’m 32 wife is 31 investing and savings a lot to be ready by 39 be smart. 🤓

Hawaii is SOOOOOO special! Nothing like another place in the world! The culture is so special… I live in Southern California (Los Angeles) and a lot of the things you describe here are also a problem in this side of the world! Traffic, weird weather (lately the sun is not showing up), expensive everything. I am in-love with Oahu! I want to move there hopefully soon enough… the island is calling me… thank you so much for this video as always!

Great video and yes, just wear rubbah slippahs when going to someone's house because it's easy to slip off and fits in with the local culture perfectly. Dressy socks and shoes will be for another occasion.

It amazes me that after all these years, and several popular TV series, people still think Hawaii is full of unclothed and uncivilized people running from volcanoes. When I moved to a place on the mainland - the kind of city where most people live their whole lives - everyone was so ignorant about it and looked at me like I didn't know anything. People who say they want to avoid Hawaii because of volcanoes live in places that get a lot of tornadoes and hurricanes and don't think that is a problem. I have a distinct memory of being at someone's home and there were big roaches flying around. I also remember the pest control tents on houses. Another thing on crime, going by what I have heard, the break-ins at the beaches and trail heads is a big problem. Because of that I can understand if tourists stick to Waikiki because they can just walk out from a room.

We are moving to the Big Island for the slower life style. My family is from Kauai but I like less rain so Kona is my choice. Also, I have heard you sing and you are great 👍 mahalo.
