Thanks. Used the method on Win 7. Worked fine. Got around it, though. Went to browser proxy settings and set it to "no proxy". Any idea?

By this, you have blocked access to Control Panel and PC Settings to your other Administrator account also. Maybe you realized later. A piece of advice to other viewers: Please play with Group Policies if and only if you have sound understanding of how they get applied. Otherwise you will lock yourself and may realize later!

XD When "internet" for you mean www while conections via any other protocol is allowed (pings work, SFTP works, ssh and telnet also). Not very helpful.
