Crazy that chrome doesn't have a native way to do this. I just wanna stop me from automatically opening meme sites and wasting 30 minutes of my life everytime I get stressed out.

I'm not convinced that it doesn't. This could very well be a fake how-to video whose real intent is to fool people into installing a sketchy extension into our Chrome browser.

@@timothywilliams8530 hey man, 9gag was the EXACT site I wanted to block when I came on this video 1 year ago and left this comment. Just wanna say that I downloaded the thing that allows you to block sites, I blocked 9gag entirely and almost immediately, I was free from my meme addiction. No joke. Turns out it’s pretty easy to quit an addiction when that addiction has become absolutely not entertaining the way 9gag had become for me. Because yes, on a side note, 9gag totally has become a big-ass, politicized, bot-infested, incel-sheltering, hot garbage dump of a website. I hated it with all my being but couldn’t for the life of me stop opening it and wasting my time.

@@timothywilliams8530 I found one called "Site Blocker" and it works fine but -- and this is kind of hilarious -- it also blocks things that I didn't actually ask it to, but I'm still glad are blocked, like Facebook. :D :D :D

took about 2 minutes then it kept asking me if I wanted the block every single fucking site I entered! I couldn't press the x to remove the popup either!! had to keep refreshing the same damn page over and over cause the pop up kept coming back, I do not recommend this. I have removed it.

I don't want to use plug-in. the Blocksite plug in is also annoying - it pops up from time to time asking to upgrade to paid version.

It lasted about 1/2 an hour. Pop ups from this site are annoying AF.
