My nephew is only 4 but he is very smart and already knows that "RU-vid Kids" does not have the videos he wants to see and refuses to use it instead of regular "RU-vid" but now I am having an absolutely impossible time signing my *under 13 year old* into my Premium account so that he does not have to watch the ludicrous amount of commercials.

@nate I've been trying to block a channel I just dont like for a while, this hasn't helped, they seem to have removed the "block channel" option and it drives me mad, either that or I still can't find the proper way to do it...

Thanks for the video Nate! It was very helpful! And I’ll be stricting my little brothers RU-vid account because he’s 7 at the moment, and I’m not gonna unstrict it until he’s at least 11 years old. And I’m keeping this in the future when I have kids. Plus I don’t know why my little brother doesn’t like the RU-vid kids app, probably do with the fact it doesn’t have GTA 5 in the way he likes it. Kids these days are dumber than a dump truck. But when I have kids I’m being a sweet but stricted parent but my kids can watch anything they want when they hit the age of 11. Cause at age 11 is when puberty hits a lot.

11 is still really young to be watching anything they want. I'm sure you'll realize that when you have your own kids. Puberty is a terrible time to be just letting all the rules go, the hormones are irratic, the irrational decision making, and peer pressure is abundant. I'm glad you care for your little brother, but don't let 11 be the age you consider them fully responsible and able to make sound decisions. Rethink that one for a bit.

@@chearacheetah1503 how old are you now and how much younger is your little brother? With my kids, I go based on maturity level and understanding of content for things that go outside of parental guidelines ratings and I view things first and use my own discretion as to whether or not I feel it's appropriate in the values and behaviors I want my kids to have. I don't let them watch things I haven't seen already. Their personality is a big factor as to what they're ready to watch, for example if they tend to copy things then they won't be watching a lot of things because I know that they will do what they see. Or if they are overly sensitive, they might not be aloud to watch animal movies like old yeller or Marley and me where a dog has to be put down because I don't want them sinking into a depression. So there's a lot of factors at play as to when each child is ready to watch what types of things. Every kid is different. Hope that helps.

How to protect your kids from objectionable content. 1. set up proxy on router that block RTA( Restricted To Adults) enable restricted mode on RU-vid and LOCK restricted mode on all browsers. 3. Monitor kids internet activity 4. Talk to your children about the dangers of innopropiate content. 5. put not recommend on content (and channels) that's political, violent, sexist, racist, sexually suggested and explicit content. that's all folks

Great information. Boomerang parental control is the best app I have come across for monitoring my kids phone activity. You can block/allow apps, use geofences, you can see texts and calls, it has a gps function, etc. I love it. I have been using it for the last 6+ years. Trust me, this is a must have.

I think its best to disable RU-vid on my TV or TV box. I will leave RU-vid kids for now whilst I am reviewing it. If I want to watch something on RU-vid, I will just cast it from my phone or iPad.

They can switch to My account with no problem I don’t want them to be able to switch to my account there is no pin or password setting for this! Prime and Netflix have this setting but not RU-vid!!

Hide your tv remote. Require your own fingerprint on your computer. And require your kids to be supervised every second they are on a computer or device.

I did like that no one can't just change those settings but what about other settings. What stops a kid from just deleting the history?
