Very well done, Brendon, I highly appreciate your concise style of this walkthrough. Just one more tip: occasionally, in some images this blur might not be enough - in that case, you can always duplicate this mask and it would duplicate the strength of the mask effect. I'm just curious: why you didn't use the Texture slider (together with the Clarity one) for this effect?
Thank you for this video, I have never been able to successfully understand how to do this in Photoshop and try to avoid using that program when possible for anything. I prefer doing things in Lightroom because I find it to be more user friendly. I'm going to give this a try.
Thank you so much for this! You explaining it step by step has helped me so much and I’m sure many others. Please do more and more editing vids for us new to editing ❤ Sending love and support from Kentucky
Wow! This one quick video forcing me to rethink what lightroom can do. It seems most things that I do in photoshop in layers can be done in lighroom. Can you tell me what type of editing lightroom can't handle that one must use Photoshop? Thank you for the video.
I’ve been doing more or less this for sometime, but sometimes I want a much larger convolution for the background. Aka REALLY soft. Have you found a way to do that in LR? Obviously not hard in PS but a lot of the time I don’t feel like firing the big monster up and LR filters are more convenient when you need to cut and paste them across many similar photos.
