I miss them block parties. :’C EDIT: I didn’t know this comment would blow up with wholesomeness and also toxicity at the same time. I grew up poor in La Porte, TX it’s where I was born. And it wasn’t uncommon every weekend for multiple families to make a dish of their own and share with several families on the block. So every family would make a different dish or a similar that’s why to me this seems big for multiple families who also grew up poor. And in my early adult life living in Memphis, TN those were also super common and made me happy to see communities coming together. Where I live now in North Carolina not so much due to COVID and other factors, but I hope to see them returning in the future!
