How to bowl leg spin. A video for CAS project. RIP Shane Warne Many thanks to all that helped me make the video including: Jason Krejza TGFS Film Crew :)
Your topspin variation style is perfect other bowlers say that to keep the wrist like legspin and straighter but it goes side spin, ur topspin variation is perfect.
Brilliant video. I'm a leg spinner that had talent at the age of 13, but somehow fell out of the game in my teens and have been trying to remember how to bowl my leg break for 10 years. Thank you so much for making this, there's one particular part of the stock leg break action which I just couldn't remember but you've really helped remind me out of the 20 or so instructional videos I've seen. The camera angle for release especially for the variations is superb. Awesome!
What a beautiful ground!!! I hope if I would have ever stayed there nearby for my whole life!!! Coz I stay in packed apartment in one of the busiest places
This is probably the best guide to leg spin on RU-vid. I would love to see a series breaking down each section with a longer video dedicated to each, especially things like developing run up, or things like your warm up and other conditioning training. Momentum through the crease is hardly covered elsewhere it's all grip and variations in most videos
What helped really here is the camera positioning, probably the only video out there that shows the bowling action clearly for the viewer to pick things up. Thanks a lot bro!
THANK YOU SO MUCH JACK.. I HAVE TRIED MANY WAYS IN LEG SPIN BOWLING WITH THREE FINGERS BUT IT DIDN'T WORK.. BUT WHEN YOU TAUGHT THE RIGHT METHOD TO BOWL IT WAS VERY SIMPLE AND FUN TO LEARN.. GREAT COACHING!! CONGRATS!!
Just another tip or idea for possible viewers wanting to improve an aspect of their follow through or their action in general... I like to land on the balls of my feet instead landing flat footed. This gives me a bit more momentum in my follow through as the balls of my landing foot is used as a pivot to get me through my action into my follow through. This has reduced the odd one I have tended to drag short, which was due usually to me not completing my action
I am Cricket lover from India, and felt your video very very useful. The variations were explained excellently, the run up, the grip. In fact an excellent video. And the best leg spin tutorial I have gone through.
I agree with most, being the leg spinner myself for over 17 years. Having varieties may be good, but trying em all in one over is also not good practice, if you can execute them good on you. I believe in repetitive action, the most important thing as a leg spinner. With googlies and toppies arms comes at 90 degrees. Leg spin at 70 degrees if you want more turn. So repetitive action gets compromised, and you start bowling full tosses or long hops. Stick to one action and keep repeating it, with occasional variations. My 2 cents.
thanks a lot bro it was very useful tat slow motion captures was awesome the release point was visible enough once again thank you and i want to know more about leg spin as i am a leg spinner too i need to know about the drills for leg spinner and to know about the spots
Sir, your videos are very informative. Sir, How I will practice perfect spot bowling(Target bowling) as a leg spinner? What should be the perfect line and length measurement in spot bowling for a leg spinner? Please explain it in detail in your next videos.
My biggest criticism of Krezya, when SA chased down 400 in Perth, was his lack of variation. For him to say its what attracted him to spin bowling seems a little far fetched. The tutorial however is excellent. The slider Warne talks about holding down the seam and bowling a normal leg break. Be worth you looking for that. Well done!
Dude you got Brilliant accuracy really. How perfect is your release, line, length & very good variation tips. Thank you for inspiring leg spinners like us :) God bless. Thanks keep it up.
TGFS, you need to use one of those big hairy covers on your microphone and use a directional microphone, you'd have eliminated all the sound interference/wind noise. Good vid though, odd flipper variation, but if it works then use it I guess? When you bowl that 'Slider' are you attempting to put some back-spin on it?
little ahead from the topic i recommend kookaburra County cricket ball for Pacers as they r very light weight and have tendency to produce swing w.r.t flow of air... compared to brands like SG.. !
This was so good. Thank you so much. Ive watched some tutorials of some spin legends but was still confused. This made it so crystal clear. Thank you so much. God bless !! Just one quick question - how did you decide 11 steps worked perfectly for you? I mean what happens when you try it with 9 steps or 13?
sir can we've more videos on leg spin by step wise movement of wrist , body and fingers in releasing a ball... Is it necessary to flight a ball ???...what is role of that ???
Dude your leg break seriously needs work. It hardly spins a few centimeters. First things first get your self upright your leaning while bowling hence your delivery isn't strong. Second your mistaken about the front arm it should be at half past 10 or 10 clock. At this height you can give the ball a real rip. Also come close to the stumps. And also remember to keep your thumb very gently or the ball and have an extremely loose grip. Don't just move your fingers right to left. Rip the cover of the ball by literally rotating your wrist a full 180 degrees. I hope this helped. All the best good luck
Bro just tell how to land the ball on goodlength which is the tuffest part of legbreak bowling everyone can lad the ball on good length with a loopy flight but no one can rip and pitch it on good length without giving time to batsman
