This turned out great . Every time I get box braids my dad always suggests I don’t use fake hair ; after this video I think I am going to not use weave in my next braids . I love that you did this :)!
Wow, those braids are gorgeous. I used to do this a lot some yrs ago. I used to wear them under my wigs but also wore as protective styles as well. Unfortunately, went back to corn rows under my wigs due to laziness, lol
This is great. My hair is super long and I'm having a baby in a month so wanting to do something I can keep up for a while and not look like a fool during delivery. My only question is, what do you do with the ends of the hair?
I used gel to seal my ends (not too much). Every 2 to 3 days I touch my ends again with a little water oil and gel also sleeping with a satin scarf and pillow case will help
Ahhh thank u! This is really helpful cause I want to braid my hair with extensions but my mom won't bought it for me cause she said it won't work so I just do my braid without it and It surprisingly worked!! I'm just 12 so that's why my mum don't believe that I can do it lol 😂😅

Now do you braid under or over for that smoother braid? I have a 10 year old who’s hair is finally Long enough to braid without extensions and this is what we were looking at doing! Help!?
Weam Ibrahim It depends on how you sleep on them & what you do on the day to day bases (like going to the gym etc). I know for me I can keep my braids in for a good 2 weeks and then I’ll wash and redo my braids.
Question: are box braids just regular braids (as in off the scalp and not grabbing more hair as you go) just a lot of sections shaped as squares around the head? I would love to do this, without adding extensions as well, for a nice change. I haven't had my hair braided in FOREVER!

I have mixed girl hair never learned how to braid (i have arm issues so i was unable to) I just wanna know are you doing regular braiding or is it a different pattern for this style? like the actual over-under part. Sorry if this doesn't make sense.
Guys please help... When I tried to do mine my braids look so FRAYED. Like, all the way through. How can I help this? Is it because of breakage? Or do I need a trim? I'm so disappointed.
I can definitely relate with the hand pain sis😩 but it's a great protective style especially for winter time. Also i'll be posting an update video sometime next week! 💜
