🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm dead! I simply didnt have the patience to be bothered with my hair doing this pandemic so I sucked it up and started braiding. It was super Tedious but simple so next time I'll ask my 2 nieces to help me!😅 #childlabor #askakid

lool honestly I feel it would only take me 2 days if I was really that tired, but I've never pushed it that far never once. I can push through for 6 hours since I'm used to it. You just need to put on some really good music or watch a show and you'll be fine (maybe take some breaks into between for snacks or to rest your arms to keep going)

Lol it wasn't that bad tbh maybe 5 hours tops. I just binged netflix and it was out before I knew it; there's also nowhere to go these days so I was in no immediately rush. Totally worth it.❤

Will your hair grow faster braiding your own hair or adding extensions?

Adding hair will protect your ends more which will help you retain length but if you care for the ends of your braids on you own hair when they appear dry you can retain the same amount of length. I apply a cream to my ends every 2 days and a little oil to keep them sealed.

Box braids are everything to me! It’s now my daily style. They give me the swing of straightened hair without the heat damage! And I don’t have to comb my hair!!! Still look fly and it’s all my hair! And for those who cannot braid well like me, go to a stylist! It’s worth every penny! I admire your braiding skills! Your hair looks beautiful!

I love this style & I do it all the time!!! If you use water & conditioner, and comb from end to root, they will come down very easily with absolutely no breakage!!

Remember don't borrow while your braiding!! This makes a difference in take down. If you don't borrow, when it's time to take down you can pull them apart a bit and let it unravel, using a rat tail comb at the ends only. This works for me and my hair is tailbone length, I do box braids slightly bigger than hers here

I do those once a month. When I blow dry my hair put to stretch it I will leave the ends so they are not blown straight or stretched as much as the rest. That way when I braid and I add product the curls pop on the end of the hair and less frizz 😊

Wow, looks good! 😀 How long do I have to keep the braids in before redoing them? Should I keep them in for 1 month at a time, take them down, have 1 week's rest from braids and redo them again? I have extremely thick Afro hair and my hair gets frizzy after less than an hour lol Will my hair still retain length and grow alot if I do it like that? My hair takes like 10 hours to braid which I do myself and it's twice as long to take out which is exhausting Thank you so much

Beautiful! But beware if you get a lot of shrinkage DO NOT spray water it will shrink your braids. They will swell and have body naturally. The cream is great to use and it curls the ends naturally. I wear this style all the time as a back up hairstyle. And using edge control on the shaft of each braid, makes them stay neater longer.

We don’t do anything to keep the ends from unraveling. Our hair tends to just stay in that style. Or whatever style we do. You could try gel, jam, beeswax or even a rubber band (just don’t place it too much toward the ends because of possible damage).
