If you try this at home don’t try to copy exactly the way he’s doing it, everyone has different body mechanics and as such you have to find what works for you by trial and error. You can take his premises and moves don’t try to be that guy tho.
Idk aye I just found tryna emulate people exactly ends up in me getting hurt which affects the training regiment, I got a massive hernia from trying to learn the peekaboo style from cus damato just from watching footage, stay healthy out there boys, stay ready!
@@palerider1979 hook is not that difficult to master. Not every one can do peekaboo. You need to have a strong shoulder, good core, resilient hip flexors, strong glutes , strong inner thighs, outer thighs, strong calves and obliques. It is a very explosive style. If you dont have good endurance, you will tire out easily
Muito legal mesmo , porém eu prefiro tirar a cabeça da frente antes de girar o corpo , tyson era o melhor neste movimento hoje quem faz com destreza é o lomachenko
Slowed your video down did it exactly how you did it ... And within about 20 mins iv got it on lock 🔒 I feel this has shifted my boxing game so much opens up so many different options ... People in the comments saying they have aches or pains but ngaaaww dawg this is the real deal ... Good shiiiii
Notice his right knee roll and his right heel rolling over too. This is what gives him that snappy shoulder rotation. (ALLOWING THE HIP TO TURN ROUND) ball of the right foot. The left foot remains quite planted and still. This creates an elastic SNAP BACK AFTER THE PUNCH IS THROWN. because the left foot doesn't move. The weight bounces back effortlessly. WORKS WITH RIGHT UPPERCUTS TOO
Washed up former boxer here - this is way more impressive than it looks, this is great technique, and anyone that can do this this well and has any real power is an absolute nightmare to deal with
Dan and Lilly that’s good do you want to be like in a weight class if so Do you know what you are like a slugger, unorthodox boxer, orthodox box, counterpuncher, swarmer? Or are you doing it to learn and just lose weight ?
The Hive well I’m probably a bit old to start a career lol but I’ve always been a sit in the pocket brawler type. Mma Wanderlei Silva comes to mind lol but as I’ve gotten older I’ve started to like boxing more and more and I wanted to learn like some of my favs starting with Tyson and his angles and peekaboo style Makes me learn to stay on my toes with head and foot movement but also allows me to keep a more square style I’m used to. I was only doing it at home to lose weight and maybe learn a thing or two while training and now that I’ve got a heavy bag, double end bag, made my own slip (Maize) ball and use my hand wraps as a slip line and I’m so into it it’s starting to become more than just lose a few pounds haha it’s been fun. It’s been deff great to exercise my mind as well while exercising physically.
Depends how you box and how you've been taught because if you cant counter a counter and both your feet are off the mat...I'm afraid you're in for a nasty knockout. Best way I could think to explain is to pivot on your lead foot while mainting weight on your back foot...seems kinda hard but it's easy once you see it. That being said my way isnt much different from his I just find it easier 🤷🏾♂️ in conclusion use the same basic principles he demonstrates just adapt it to your comfort. Edit: great tips tho💯👏🏾
With your height and range of arms, you simply do not need this, the technique is very energy-intensive, mainly for not tall people with short arms to attack from the bottom up.
To get that tyson snap. With a right hander. The right leg is key to the hip rotation. To turn through creates snap back because the left foot is rooted. The body weight naturally spring back . The shoulder needs to turn through the punch too. The right knee is cooked and turns inwards ( A FUNDAMENTAL ) AS IS THE RIGHT HIP COCKED. easy and stylish once it clicks for you and you feel it. He isn't throwing bombs. He is boxing. His body is behaving like a mechanical piece of machinery. Momentum and inertia, and elastic spring back. The jaw is protected by tucking into the shoulder.
Очень сильно зажатий, заставляет себя повернуть ноги, а ноги при удара сами поворачивается автоматически, просто многие спортсмены и тренера не знают, Очень медленно двигается, удар одиночка , нужно комбинация , руки тоже удар не правильно .
Ain't that the stuff Tyson was doing in his infamous shadow boxing clip. He looked like he entered Ultra Instinct and had Overboosted Main character speed stats.
This works for me somehow just by trying this for the first time which is kinda weird because i have very locked/shitty footwork and i can't even improve this somehow worked thanks.
I’m nitpicking here but then I’m a stickler for proper movement so here’s my critique: Shuffle is alright but lacks conviction. As if he ain’t sure. For the most part the shuffle looks sound in terms of all moving parts being in sync. Counterbalance between punch thrown and feet is good. Proper leverage is almost completely achieved. But again he seems tentative. He probably either just got a hang of the movement itself or he hasn’t gotten used to performing the movement at slower speeds. Likewise his hook needs some work. A good correction would be to drive the motion home from the left foot up through the hips and while throwing hook, drop right shoulder to get that smooth yet quick snap. My issue isn’t with the speed although at the rate he’s going the speed from a hook using proper technique is exponential if proper leverage is executed. This is not dissimilar to a pendulum that seems to move faster at it’s arch.
