Stubborn tire beads sometimes call for drastic measures. After failing to break the bead with a traditional tire machine and bottle jack, we decided to let the weight of the Ford do the work.
I use a high lift jack under my rear hitch with a piece of plywood under the rim and tire it to keep dirt out. I think it is faster my way, but your way looks a lot more fun.
It will be more easier and less dangerous if you turn the ladder on flat side. the truck ist heavier enough to made the job. So, you can put the ladder on by the side of the wheel.
