Was having trouble with the ratchet only going one notch or not at all. Took it all apart, swapped spring/washer/nut with my other mount and just kept working them on and off. Was getting frustrated and figured the whole mech needed a break in. It finally worked out. Then I saw this vid lol
I shot my Nomad on an AR10 type rifle for nearly 200 rounds and neither the suppressor or KeyMo adapter came loose. Awesome mount and considered by many to be the best in the industry! 😁👍
@@timowens7214 I efiled a Form 4 for a YHM Turbo K. It's been 146 days so far. Looks like it's been taking about 7 months or so for most eforms to get approved. 😒
I found that using Permatex Purple Ceramic Extreme brake lube is the absolute best for the adapters. It's rated to 3000F, slick as hell, wont corrode and doesn't wash out at those rainy day comps
@@acidicfate You're talking about the threads being exposed @ 1:58 right? When he's taking off the 3 parts? Not the threads that go into the can itself? Thanks!
I am actually having that issue with the worn detent ring on my Keymo adapter so this was very informative. I will be emailing Dead Air to address this. Thanks for uploading this video. 👍
Same here, they said they’re out of stock on detent rings but will ship one out asap, got a durable suppressor but I guess the keymo part is something that will fail much sooner?
My nomad30 keeps coming loose from the 5/8-24 adapter… while shooting it on my SCAR17, I don’t want to put any Loctite on the threads, but is that what y’all would suggest?
From what I’ve read it’s the ‘detent’ rings wearing down that makes it stop the ratcheting sound. Apparently it’s still reliable but not cool because I want that sound!
I shot my new Nomad suppressor I waited 11 months for. Put it on the gun and zeroed my scope with it on. Road out to the deer stand and noticed my end cap was missing. Had to take the dang thing off and hunt without it. $55.00 later and good as new. Wait, it was new when it end cap fell off. But the Keymo worked, well until it got hot and I couldn't get the suppressor clickty clackty. Wished I would have watched this video of "TIPS" firsts.
Fyi. Followed this vid instructions. My Sierra 5 still seized after 260rds at the range. I used Blaster Penetrating catalyst and it came off just like the video. Before the BP, it wouldn’t budge with a 10in crescent wrench. I thought my pinned flash hider was going to break. F- Keymo.
@@wildbill7065 I ordered my Sierra 5 on May 28th from a kiosk for SilencerShop. Got my DocuSign notification on the 10th of this month. I now have the serial number so the wait starts
