Nice video. I just got a pair of 877 about 3 weeks ago. They are my 2nd pair. I wear them for my second job on construction sites. I'm still breaking them in. It takes time. Next week I will wear them on the job site for the 1st time. I also got better laces and I had speed hooks installed on the top 4 holes of each boot. Much better experience and it only cost $30. My last pair are still doing pretty good. Had them 3 years and 4 soles. Still love wearing them to work.
Yes! The 877 takes time to break in. It is my third week using it with an average of 3-4 hours a day and I think it will take me another 3 weeks to really soften the leather. I plan also to have those speed hooks installed in all my 8-inch boots for an easier and faster lacing of the boots. Thanks for your comment and for watching this video! Great!
@@jovienarcisephthe RedWin g store where I live will pop in speed hooks for free if you purchase a boot in store. That’s one downfall of buying them online. Having to pay extra money to have speedhooks installed.
tawagin ko nalang po kayong Tito kasi kasing edad mo rin ang papa ko. anyway your video po is so informative. Kakabili ko lang ng 875 (still sitting in the local USPS outlet), and im just looking for methods how to break it in easily. Thank you for this Tito Red Winger.
Use a thicker socks, loosely tie the laces for your first wear and have a walk inside the house muna. 2nd day, tie the laces a little tighter and walk for one hour. Consistent lang na ganyan everyday until the leather softens and you produce your personal foot imprint on the insoles of the boots and initial folds and creases on the side parts of the boots. To this habit up to the 3rd week and your feet will be more comfortable with the boots! Are you going to use them as lifestyle boots or work boots? Ako, I use my boots for hiking and working in my backyard. I use my Beckmans as my lifestyle/fashion boots. Salamat!
@@jovienarciseph im gonna use them as lifestyle lang, most probably pang church. How about sa sizing? kasi andaming reviews na dapat mag size half or full size down. I am size 8EE on the Brannock Scale, so i ordered 7EE. i hope ok lang fit nya.
I have been using combat leather boots for 37 years in the active military service in the Philippines. There is no difference actually. Thanks for watching.
