Such an amazing question! If we consider 100 % is the normal rate for walking, then you shouldn’t inhale more than 100 % when swimming. Reason #1. You would come up for air every 2-4 seconds Reason #2. Fully inflated lungs requires more effort from your diaphragm, thus increasing the heart rate
