just found this channel out while looking for a villager curing station, and it's so good, you explain things so clearly and calmly, i hope you find more success in your RU-vid career, you deserve a lot more subs
I would also breed donkeys alongside horses and look for their stats. With the perfect horse and the perfect donkey, you can breed them together to make a mule which has horse speed and can carry items similar to a donkey.
Just found your channel, and your tutorials are fantastic! The way you breakdown the information makes it easy to understand. I swear that several years ago, horse breeding used to work like this.. where new horses would often be better than the parents. I remember breeding maxed out horses like this. I only learned last year that that was no longer the case, and was thrilled to find out that they fixed it!
Hey, just a tip for anyone who doesn't mind using mods but Jade, is a great mod (and In general) for horse breeding. it shows at the top of your screen if you hover on a horse their hearts. Speed and jump stats with 0.001 - 14.631 ir whatever. Super accurate
I found an NBT-parsing library and wrote a Python script that efficiently searches all of the hawses in the world and sorts them by stats. Looks like, out of the 575 in the world right now, I actually own three of the fastest five¹! I will definitely be building your measurements devices in my world, though, so I can convert the 0-1 movement and jump values to sticks and snow. And just to reinforce what everyone else has said: your content is incredible, your videos so well put together, your designs so aesthetically interesting and your narrations so entertaining and soothing. I wish I'd found your channel months ago. ¹ Their names are: - Coltneighsegg - Paganeigh Hayra - Alfalfa Roam-mare-ro
I am very impressed with your research! I thought I already knew a lot about breeding horses, but I learned things here. (I never stuck with it for long because of that abominable third set of stats that previously destroyed the ability to breed for best stats.) I've used stat mods for years so the idea of that hidden heart had never crossed my mind before. And the advice to avoid breeding horses with extreme disparity in their stats is going to help me
Tried the extreme stats initially, I guess I need to go back for the more rounded horses. I also should source my carrots from villagers instead of making a gold farm. Thanks for the tips!
Please keep up the good work! Your builds are beautiful and practical (plus the schematics are so helpful) and videos like this and the zombie villager curing station are useful and well done. Super underrated, I hope your channel continues to get the recognition you deserve (and it will over time!)💜 also your voice is so calming and (i don’t know a better word to describe it) pleasant and pretty!
"It's actually not worth it to breed them" Me breeding my worse jumper to a "friend" horse that has the better horse on the server, then crossback the foals with that friend horse: In one afternoon you get a good one! (I may have gotten lucky, the last one got an even better jump) (Now I only do them by half blocks because I am limited with the space I can use XD)
I'm here with my meme collection as usual , but today I wanna saw how incredibly underrated this channel is , your tutorials are amazing ! Hope you reach 1mil one day. Alr enough blabber here's the usual meme: Bjork : makes an entire video about horse breeding Elytra users : HAHAHAHA- *dies to unloaded mountain*
While your horse speed tester is great, human error makes it a bit unaccurate. Sometimes I get 35 items, sometimes I get 28 with the same horse. A slightly inconsistent Also, does it happen to you too that you get off for two seconds to take down a few blocks, and your horse gets lost 60 blocks up a mountain?
Hello! Yeah, human error does mean you can get readings that differ by a stick or so... I sometimes do two runs with a horse just to see if there's a difference. However, are you on Bedrock? I'm not sure this farm works that well on Bedrock, and readings that differ by that many items show that something is off. Ahaha, yes, horses love to wander! I basically had to spam fence posts everywhere I was working so my horses wouldn't wander off...
I like your stopwatch for measuring horse speeds. If I set up lets say a 10 block track course on hopper minecart like yours. I know that 20 sticks is a whole second has passed (each stick was a tick moved by the hopper). Therefore 20 sticks means the horse traveled exactly 10 blocks per second. If the wiki claims horses trail off at 14 blocks per second then I should build a track 15 blocks long and try to get the hopper measuring 20 sticks for a perfect breed. Not accounting for the delay from the piston and hooks of course.
I prefer the stats spyglass mod as it has a more immersive feel. I also agree max stats just aren't worth it. Once you hit that 90% percentile in stats, you're pretty much set. Half a block per second isn't going to be noticeable and unless your Don Quixote it wot have an impact on game play.
For the horse murder pit I suggest dropping it down a pit with stone spikes at the bottom. They'll take more fall damage, and die faster that way. Yes I know I'm a bad person.
That's still such a good horse! I think 5 4/16 is actually the best possible jump height, so you're maxed out there. And 56 sticks is still such a phenomenal horse, and your chances of finding such a thing spawned naturally would be super low... It's just so hard to get maxed out speed, I think
Hello! The bonemeal farm is linked in the description, but I actually recommend building this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eNYZiuVNBe0.html
@@BjorkMinecraft thank you! Please keep up the cool videos! They are very descriptive and I like the building vids where you explain why you do things the way you do.
There's an even easier way to look at a horse's stats with commands! With this you don't have to sift through all of the horse's data, and can specifically target the stats you want to see 😁 /attribute @e[type=horse,sort=nearest,limit=1] minecraft:generic.movement_speed get For health, swap in minecraft:generic.max_health and for jump height, swap in minecraft:generic.jump_strength
best way to measure horses stats is lunar client, when u are sitting on a horse, press E and I'll show u all the stats plus percentage of overall horse
thanks for the tips sister!!.. its kinda hard to find arabian horse (slightly brown'ish hose with white pattern on head and leg) that have a good stat ..ive find other horse with good stat but im not interested in their pattern
hey i love your videos. i made your speed tester a few days ago. the sticks seem to move slower for me. the high score for my horses is 26 sticks. i have lots of them thatll run it in 27 sticks. i am on bedrock so thats probably why. what do you think?
Planning on riding one to the world border corner, so to me every little bit counts. Whether or not a 0.3375 will be feasible, beats me. I never cared for horses until now.
Hey thank you so much for this video it’s helped me a ton! I was just wondering if you knew what the maximum number was for the movement speed in the /data get entity command result?
i ve spent the last three to four days breeding i have two horses wich have 0.03 values (speed or jump height) away from being perfect but the health isnt that well developed yet. Guys even with those tricks which i used it takes lots of time and many stacks of golden carrots
would you ever do a build tutorial for this stable? I did your simple stable one but i'm finding its not super effective in practice when you're breeding horses yknow? needs more space and stuff for the inside but i have no creativity to work it out myself ;--;
I made a bunch of fences differentiating by .5 blocks each and my horse was able to jump over 5.5 blocks Btw in Bedrock there's some sort of glitch that made me lose faith in leads, at least for an extended amount of time. There's a chance that the horses will be detached, leads broken witj the visual of the leads tieed arojnd the fence still and IDK WHY!!! It's so annoying and I would hate to lose leads, they're an important item to me for short periods of time or moving animals from one place to another. Just make a bigger stable at the beginning, I made one intentionally 6 stables and expanded it to 20, it's also easy to expand if I need to but I think 20 stables is plenty.
Hello 👋🏿 could you please showme the command you used for spawn the perfect horse? I tried every command I saw online and All of them just spawn a Horse with full hearts and average speed/jump height
