Do your own awesome brushed satin finish on your metal creations! This is on stainless steel but the method is the same for all types of steel or metal.
This is a much nicer finish than a buffed or polished blade and shows a lot less marks and stains on your knife.

That guy's accent is almost as awesome as the tutorial itself (doable by hand, what's more). Nice video ! =D

Love it. I like a knife to show the natural beauty of the steel, but i hate high mirror polish as it gets fingerprints all over it and always manages to look dirty quick no matter how recently you cleaned it. This is the perfect balance. Thank you.

@@markbilson3775 that’s a brushed finished not a satin finish. Whenever you have uniform straight lines, it’s brushed.

Awesome! Tried it and it was super! Have you tried this on damascus steel also? Heard it would need mirror polish for damascus steel- is that true?

Hi I did this to some chrome door handles and latch keeps and they have gone a bronze colour in places, is there anyway I can make them turn to a satin/brushed steel (Matt silver in colour look)

Thinking about using 400-600 and 1000 grit as these are the only available grits from where I am, using them on a carbon steel knife. Will it produce same results?
